meh. hate to be mean (love to be mean) but he was a mediocre writer at best. not sure why we've spent the day in retrospective mode for...tom clancy.

although i guess 'retrospective mode' is better than 'we've fucked up the country again'.

Sidney Sheldon's been dead for fifteen years, and "he" is still cranking out books. I'm sure the Tom Clancy's Tom Clancy Writing Sweatshop will continue as long as there's a market. It's what he would have wanted.

I enjoyed his novels until he started in with the various series that he may or may not have written- they became rather formulaic and tended to read like a synopsis of a video game. RIP Tom
