Birthrates for citizens only? My home state might not be quite so green if so.

I would just like to add that Indiana put Kent Abernathy in charge of the Indiana DOT and I know him personally to be an incompetent leader, not very bright, total misogynist, lazy and doesn’t read anything, and came in last in the election when he tried to run for an open reps seat. So the clown show at the top is trickling down to a total shitshow at the state level. I am beyond disgusted. 🤮 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I read that TREASURY has been ordered by DOGE not to pay any federal contractors. Just like Trump doesn’t pay his contractors.

Will Duffy be advocating the micro transfusion program that was such a big part of Ceausescu's pro-natalist policy? The program that increased HIV infections drastically? He's enough of a doofus to try that.

Living in an SNL skit is not fun when it drags on for two weeks and counting!

Ya know for constant bitching about DE&I, Trump sure does hire a lot of people who fit that bill. Dumb, evil, and ignorant.

Wanted to share this piece with you—it’s about how we keep falling into the outrage trap and how to fight back strategically. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Check it out when you have a minute.

Thank you.

The Repubs' position on babies seems to be to get a lot of them borne, then not care for them. Sounds like a modern versions of "A Modest Proposal."

"...DOT officials should take care to prioritize funding road projects in “communities with marriage and birth rates higher than the national average,” because that will somehow be good for America, you see. The memo also called for upgrading transportation access for “families with young children” as well as mitigating the downsides of transportation projects on families."

So: no funding for The Villages?

I am in the transportation business and this is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

It is essentially a nativist policy to try to reward the home-front rather than immigrants.

What they are missing is that one of the biggest drivers of growth is internal immigration. Florida is building tons of roads largely because of an influx from other states. You think they are going to deny Florida funding? They are just idiots and racists

This wikipedia page is interesting because it compares birth rates to death rates among the states. Ironically, blue states are some of the biggest organic growth states while red states are dying faster than they breed.

The fact that many of them, Mississippi being the leader, have very high infant mortality and maternal mortality rates, may have something to do with that.

Sean Duffey is well known here in his former district as being as dumb as the logs he used to chop as a faux lumberjack. Not only Wisconsin but the senior communities in Florida, like The Villages, are going to have to learn to love potholes.
