As repulsive as this ad is, it was even more repulsive watching this transpire nightly on local TV. Bracamontes WANTED to plead guilty. He KNEW there was no need to go to trial, that he had already stuck the fork in himself. he blurted out his guilt in (as I remember) in numerous court appearances.Oh, but he had to go to trial.So, every day, he did and said the same stuff. Since he knew he was doomed, I guess he figured he might as well leave no insult to the imagination. And every day, the judge and his attorneys had to warn him to remain quiet, which he did for a few minutes.He then would get booted only to return the next day when he "promised" to be a good boy. Only to get booted again. And then again.Believe me, it was actually worse than that. It played out in that sickening manner for days.Especially when the widows (and families) of the two officers endured his taunts and his vicious, nonstop profanities.Big surprise. he was found guilty and eventually sentenced to die. But, he had a "fair trial" which of course, he didn't want in the first place.Who was served by this nonsense. Certainly not justice. it was a classic fuck up from first day to last. Anyone surprised Trump thought it was just what his base needed to remind them of the evils of immigration and all those Bracamontes like- thugs (especially the women hauling around small children) making their way to do evil in Merica?
This caused me to laugh such that hot coffee was ejected from my sinuses. I expect everything will smell vaguely of 7-11 100% Colombian for at least the next few hours which, frankly, is a bit of an improvement over the subtle hint of wet garbage coming from multiple nearby landfills saturated with a day's hard rain.

Few things would scream "separation of church and state" more loudly than to designate Sunday a nationwide voting day. Any church that respected the 1A would gladly support this proposition. Render unto Caesar and all that.
