"Furthermore, it orders federal agencies to review any contracts with businesses that also do business with Perkins Coie"

`

So, they're not just unwilling to tolerate Perkins Coie, but they're also unwilling to tolerate the tolerant?

I wonder if Perkins or Coie might know some really good lawyers who will sue the shit out of this administration…?

For sure he wants revenge against any and all slights, real and imagined. But I can't imagine he really cares about the pee tape. After everything he's gotten away with, I can't imagine its release would make any difference.

Maybe it's not literally a pee tape. Maybe it's a "Cheese Pizza" tape, or something similar.

GPS Fusion was originally hired to look into possible Trump's-Russia ties by none other than Trump's CURRENT Secretary of State, lil Marco Rubio. Knowing this, Trump hired him for SoS in THIS Term! Much of the Steele dossier hasn’t been disproven, to date.

The dossier is actually a series of reports—16 in all—that total 35 pages. Written in 2016, the dossier is a collection of raw intelligence. Steele neither evaluated nor synthesized the intelligence. He neither made nor rendered bottom-line judgments. The dossier is, quite simply and by design, raw reporting, not a finished intelligence product.

Trump’s campaign chair Paul Manafort passed along campaign data to a Russian agent. Trump lied to the public about having no aspirations for deals in Russia when his team had been chasing a project in Moscow throughout his campaign.

Trump ignored U.S. intelligence in Helsinki with Russian President Vladimir Putin by his side by agreeing with the dictator that he thought Russia had nothing to do with interfering with the U.S election. In this way, much of what the Steele dossier claimed about Trump being influenced by the Russians seems true.

Just finished re-reading Craig Unger's 2021 book American Kompromat. Trump has been in their pocket since the 1980s, when the Soviet Union still existed. He didn't just start echoing Soviet/Russian talking points; he's been doing it for decades.

*“At this time, you should know that no applicant for our fellows program, our summer internship, or employment in our office who is a student or affiliated with a law school or university that continues to teach and utilize DEI will be considered,” Martin wrote in the two-page letter.*

Looks like it's time to summon up the classic Harlan Ellison quote about denying the guy who just crawled out of the Gobi Desert a peanut butter sandwich.

They'll be just fine hiring sovcits who talk excitedly about how we're under maritime law because criminals are put in "the dock".

Every time Trump makes a move like this I picture a toddler knocking over a tower of blocks.

That's just how small and petty Trump is, he's tearing down his enemies (or trying to) while Musk tears down the government.

Rough wake up in the middle of the night. Doggo was sleeping next to my head, stood up and shook. Whipped his tail RIGHT across my thankfully closed eyes. Ow. Think my yelp probably woke some neighbors.

Your analysis of the Perkins Coie ban is spot on. Think about it: the power to do a bill of attainder is restricted and conferred on Congress subject to those restrictions. The president has no such power. Essentially, he is acting as grand jury, prosecutor, jury, judge and executioner, for offenses he has pulled out of his ass. If Perkins Coie (a firm at which I have probably a dozen close friends, some lawyers but more support staff, including someone whose houseguest I was exactly a year ago) were guilty or liable for anything, there are procedures whereby the executive branch could take action against them (spoiler alert: none of the things Trump mentions are actionable in the slightest). This is a president acting outside the bounds of the powers of his office. Claiming power that George III didn't have, let alone George Washington.

The MAGA cult has become such a disgusting group that I actually have to agree with Dana Loesch??

Dana White invited the Tates to his latest UFC event

“Chris and Dana Loesch both blasted the Tates, while the former vowed he was finished with White’s MMA league.”

I assume that the Tates are Andrew and his brother. Dana Loesch used to do a show for the NRA before that wave collapsed, iirc.
