I had a good day. I did my job really well today. Twice I was thanked in the moment for the help I provided. And once I was praised for work I'd done in the past, praise that I really needed to hear.
Then I shopped for presents for some friends and some family and I think they'll all like what I picked out.
I took myself out for dinner, a burger and fries, a glass of wine. It was fine, not great. But I got to be alone in public, which is something I really like to do. be. feel.
The crushing weight of the insane clown administration could very plausibly come for my corner of society/geography/demography at any moment. In the meantime, I do my job. Jobs.

Indulged myself in a small fantasy earlier today. We win the House and Senate in November. Once they're sworn in, they make AOC the Speaker of the House. Then they impeach Trump AND Vance. (Can they do it simultaneously? Does it have to be sequentially? Which one should go first? And what can we get Vance on, there must be a crime somewhere.) And Speaker Ocasio Cortez becomes the first woman president. Because she's next in the line of succession and I'm pretty sure they're not going to elect a woman president outright in my lifetime.
Question for the oldz, because I guess I wasn't paying that much attention to this stuff when Gerald Ford became vice president (after Spiro Agnew had to resign for crimes). An appointed VP has to be approved by the Senate, yes?
