Your question sort of implies that you believe that these state charges are themselves "ginned up". Just saying.

Here's the thing--state and local prosecutors do not have any real incentive to "gin up" charges on a sitting president. They're elected officials, they're going to p*ss someone off, and at the end of the day, it's not worth it.

How many states filed charges against Obama? The Shrub? Clinton? Bush? I could go on, but maybe you might just be seeing my point. Or, as I stated earlier, believe, or want others to believe, that the charges against the Mandarin are "ginned up" and therefore baseless charges.

I agree. Since the very beginning, when he claimed he couldn't release his returns because reasons, I just thought, He's not as rich as he's led everyone to believe. That's it. That's all.

This was before anything about the Russians came to anyone's attention. It's just the way it is. If you've spent your life telling your kids, your wives, your accountants, your everyone, that you have money, that you come from money, then having the truth come to light--that there's not $3m in liquid assets, that it's really more like $300,000, or less--is absolutely devastating. Like, suicidal devastating.

I don't know. Maybe I thought that right off because I come from money (judge away, my own kids have no idea), and I knew a lot of kids growing up who were in the same comfortable situation, and then there were two who had suicides later on in their years in their families when the money turned out to either have never really existed or to have been wasted or siphoned. If I had come from different circumstances I am sure that I would think differently.
