Two notable SCOTUS decisions, Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) and Eisenstadt v. Baird (1972) established the right to birth control for married and unmarried couples. This is not an issue for the states to decide. This is not an issue for Donny Numbnuts to decide.

It's already been decided for 60 years.

Of course, being a precedent did crap-all for Roe, it's true. But Farticus has once again revealed his utter ignorance of how our government works and its history.

It's not just birth control. There isn't one governmental program, institution, or policy this bastard gives a shit about. He's too goddamned lazy to learn and too stupid to care. If you disagree, I'd bet that you think he got into the University of Pennsylvania honestly.

does anyone involved in this potential ratf*ckery have any idea what would happen in the streets in this country if birth control were legally regulated and/or prohibited? Prediction: it would make marches on Dobbs look like small-town Scout convocations.

Just guessing that Trump and quite a few members of the Heritage Foundation (damn their eyes) have personally benefited from the availability of both birth control and recreational sex. When will these assholes finally recognize that humans halve been having recreational sex for millennia, and that no amount of laws or punishments or consequences can stop it? And people have tried to regulate that and IT NEVER WORKS.

TRump does not care nor care to know anything about anything. His only purpose is to win the election. For him, it's just a big fun game. The man has the emotional maturity of an 8 year old.

It's why his sham presidency was so fucked up. He had a bunch of power-hungry idiots telling him what to do, and because he is all ego and incapable of rational thought, if someone told him it would make him "look good" or "be more popular" he would do it.

What's worse this time around is that he is likely to be surrounded by power-hungry smart people who can operate the levers of power. We will long for the days of simple incompetence.

"There is no question that Trump would outlaw birth control if he were surrounded by people who wanted to outlaw birth control and who told him that outlawing birth control would please his base"

Please his base? Hell, all the person would need to do was tell Stinky that they liked his tie or he had a nice tan.

<<“Conservatives have to lead the way in restoring sex to its true purpose, & ending recreational sex & senseless use of birth control pills,” they tweeted just last year.>>

There it is. The stupidest thing I've ever read on the internet.

The Heritage Foundation wants to "end recreational sex."

Only business boning!

I can see they've thought this through.

My best friend used to live near the Heritage Foundation building and we’d always comment on the icy blond young women coming and going. He’d say, yeah, they’re hot, but if that gets pregnant, it STAYS pregnant.

In the before times when some anti-abortion extremist would say "abortion is murder", I'd ask them if mothers who have an abortion should be sentenced to death or a lengthy prison term like others who commit first degree murder. Inevitably they would say something like "Well, I don't they should be punished like that." Of course, they could never provide a rational argument to support their position.

Now it's different. Many (perhaps a majority) of the rabid anti-abortionists are fully on board with punishing women who have an abortion even if it means leaving her other children without a mother.
