Looks like he went to Trump U AMONG OTHERS.

a) They're inter-related. If any given resource/item/service was highly-valued and in-demand prices would remain high and there would be incentive to increase production to meet said demand. Given the worldwide push towards renewables and away from fossil fuels plus the fact CNG has undercut and displaced coal, the bottom has fallen out of the demand half of the equation, which pushes prices down even if you assume production/supply holds steady.

Enter Basic Economics: if prices are already low, and you increase supply without decreasing costs of production and without a corresponding increase in demand (ain't gonna happen no matter how much wet-dreaming by der Trumpkinz,) prices and profits aren't gonna go up. How this simple fact escapes these so-called big-businessmen beggars belief.

b) Yes coal and petroleum, given they're fossil fuels, are finite resources and will run out. Still won't help Joe Coalminer if there's no more coal left to mine.........

Wish I still had the program...Lady MS attended the best. folk. music. concert. ever. in the early 60s in Baltimore. Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Buffy St. Marie, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, etc. in a benefit concert for (wait for it...) the miners of Hazard, KY. Jeesh.

Fuque the miners. We shouldnt be held hostage by less than 70,000 high school dropout racist scumbag morons who are incapable to adapting to the new century, or the scumbag mining companies that use them for props (and slaves). Some people are too stupid to have an opinion and miners tend to be among that group.

Have a great day!

'Bernie Bros' are morons, just like Trumpanzees. His supporters know nothing about his history, yet allow themselves to be conned into listening to his lies and hypocrisy. I look forward to his wife going to prison for bond and bank fraud from her false financial statements filed to get the loan (originally a Vermont educational bond issue).

For those who have no clue, she stated that Burlington College had more than $2 million in donations/ bequests over the next 2 years (2009-2011), but it turns out the real number was around $60k and the rest of the $2 million was a lie.

Bernie has been a hypocritical liar since his first run for mayor in the 1980's. His issue then was 'affordable housing' and he promised to use the leverage that waterfront development would provide. But because he is a liar, no one unit got built, the waterfront ended up being a billion dollar give away to developers and since then, developers are his biggest contributors.

He is not a 'Man of the People', but one that steals from people.

Have a great day!

Aren’t natural gas plants cheaper to build and maintain?

If I'm not mistaken, western coal, like in Powder River, has less sulfur in it and it's relatively less polluting.

Well, and blue states like California and Colorado (and probably the rest of the west coast) are continuing to make investments in reducing carbon emissions and uphold their commitments to the Paris Agreement.

Who gives a shit? Unless these assclowns have found a way to clone dinosaurs and compress them beneath megatons of pressure, at zero energy cost, those jobs are not coming back.

Hazard, KY. Yeah, that makes sense - you just know Boss Hogg would be a Trumpster!

Dumb question but if renewable energy is now cheaper to produce, why is this a concern? Are the shitty red states mentioned toward the end so invested in burning coal that there's a big cost associated with switching to renewables even though the cost per kilowatt would be cheaper after the switch? Or are their utilities run by hateful dumbfucks willfully trying to trash our planet, too?
