“If Trump hadn’t been born rich, he’d be selling timeshares in Arizona,” and prolly starving to death.

'Abdul! What Abdul is he talking about?' Abdul isn't even a stand-alone name. The real structure is 'Abd ul-' with the part after the ul- being one of the epithets of God from the Koran ( ul-Jabbar, ul-Rahman, etc).

Are they giving thumbs up over dead American soldiers? We all know MAGA are Russian patriots. They hate America.

I've really tried to avoid saying this, but I can't hold back any longer. Good mother of god, I fucking hate Donald J. Trump, everything he says, everything he "stands" for, every lying word that comes out of his mouth that has sucked the dick of Putin, Orban, and any other of his personal heroes he could get his mouth on. Fuck him, fuck his team, fuck his family, the horses they rode in on, and fuck anyone stupid enough to think he should be president of the United States. He is the stupidest fucking person I've ever seen in my entire 77 years. I thought the Republicans trotted out some really terrible people, Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes, but this one, wow, and holy fucking shit, this on. I've really tried to be at least somewhat civil when discussing him but after last night, nope, no more. I'm calling 'em like I see 'em. He's a convicted felon whose gotten away with far, far more than the 34 counts of fraud, he's a rapist whose gotten away with far more sexual assaults than this one, and he's a fucking traitorous insurrectionist who, at the very least, deserves life in the darkest hole at Guantanamo. Many traitors get a more exact consequence. Sorry, but not sorry, for the extended rant. And may I finally say fuck you Donald J. Trump. May you die a slow and very painful death. For what you've done to our country, our laws, and our Constitution, you deserve no less. Glad I could get that off my chest. Hope I don't get banhammered. Have a lovely day.

Based on only the things we know about, I’d easily put him on a shortlist of Worst Human Being Currently Alive. I’m guessing we’ll eventually find out about some stuff that will seal the deal.

After the election, the inner circle will be scrambling over each other to get tell-all deals, and you know what goes on behind closed doors there now is far worse than we could ever imagine.

Oh, I’m sure.

After the last misadministration when publishers were throwing book deals at anyone that worked for the PAB I can only assume there already loads of his cronies taking copious notes even now.

If they want to use racist and disgusting rumors and lies about Haitian immigrants, I say we start rumors that the "Abdul" PAB called up was indeed Abdul Rahman al-Logari, and why was he in contact with a suicide bomber who killed 13 members of our military?

"...damage to infrastructure, loss of income from the 243,000 people who died."

I think there's an error here. 2430 Americans maybe? The sentence is referencing $300m a day, which implies Americans...

I think 243000 might be a reasonable estimate for total deaths, which are mostly Afghan.

2,500 soldiers weren't enough to guard the fucking airport, much less ensure the route to it was safe and protect other assets in the country.

I'm no military genius like PAB, but I'd guess that the suppor personnel-to-warrior ration would be, say, 1-to-1. I think in WW II it was 8-to-1 people in administrative/supply stuff for every man fighting. Logistics is probably much more effective now, but you still have the pencil pushers as well as supply people to consider.

Considering shifts of eight hours at the airport, that's roughly 400, and even in Afghanistan an airport is a big piece of real estate with lots of points of entry. With a large crowd of people on those approaches who have to be searched and identified, plus patrolling the perimeter, you're not looking at a lot of fat left over.

Not to mention the, what, trillion(?) $ expenditure the U.S. spent training and equipping Afghan government troops and propping up the government for two decades. PAB ensured that this money was just flushed down the toilet in a matter of months.

Yeah, it was a bullshit idea to begin with; the Taliban was always going to eventually take over, so much of that expense is Bush the Dimmer and HaliCheney, who made out like a bandit on the whole deal anyway.

But PAB ensured it would be a monumental clusterfuck, the likes no one has ever seen before. Then refused, after he lost the election, to coordinate with the incoming administration by providing information on military situations.

Utter malice combined with absolute ineptness made for the absolute worst outcome.

When Trump got to that part of the debate and said blah blah 13 people died, I was like hold up. Thriteen? Only 13? Not to dishonor those 13 but that's a drop in the bucket of all the deaths in Afghanistan.

Yep, a Trillion dollars a year in defense contractor slush fund money.

And now you know why the press went after Biden so hard after that. He cut off the grift and the billionaires were pissed.
