It is, most Evangelicals will tell you, the only divinely inspired version of the bible there is. Not only do they become moderately literate in the lingo, but they associate it with all holy speech. As a reminder, that version hit the presses in 1611, so yes, the vocabulary and (sometimes) grammar is early 17th century.
Me too. I could tell a Huey by its sound by age five (my dad was an instructor pilot at Ft. Rucker, so that was a given). I grew up to be a mechanic on that model when I was enlisted. I trained at Ft. Rucker and even found my old house. I can still hear a Huey coming long before I see it, although they are rare now. I can also tell a Chinook, Blackhawk and Apache by their sound because I live close enough to Ft. Hood that they are (excuse the pun) frequent flyers.
