Yup, it's sort of baffling how some people don't understand the nuances of socialism. I live in the Uk. We have a democracy - we aren't a socialist country. We do however have the NHS which some see as socialist, although it would be more correctly described as nationalist. You can weave in bits of socialism into society if it helps people without going full on "comrade". We also don't die because we can't afford hospital bills.
Of course, I completely agree. I have seen horrors first hand thanks to the US system. National health care, given how much money it saves the state and the people, could also be described as good capitalism, given that it's cost-effective. Of course, that's assuming that capitalism is meant to work for human goals...
I apologize, it did look wrong, and I should have checked. My sister is married to a Hindu guy, and I should have known better. I was just trying to make the point that English is like a completely foreign language and alphabet to Trump and he is repeating sounds without knowing what they mean. But I can see I phrased it badly, made an error, and I can see how it could have come out offensive. Hindi was a choice of a language that would seem more foreign than say, German, to an English speaker. As a child of two immigrants, I am very aware of the many, many other populations of the world and often make this point to others.
