Who's Trump Trying To Get Killed Today? Doctors, Nurses, New Moms Get Your Bulletproof Vests
He's a bad man.
Donald Trump gave one of his 50 minutes of hate rallies in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Saturday night. It was his usual marathon of lies with no bathroom breaks. He slimed Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers for refusing to sign a ridiculous "don't kill babies" bill with a "stop beating your wife" rider. Then hereprised his grossest lie yet about how women are murdering their newborn babies for spit and giggles.
TRUMP: The baby is born. The mother meets with the doctor. They take care of the baby. They wrap the baby beautifully.
At this point, Trump even demonstrates rocking a baby, which he's heard is something parents do with their kids.
TRUMP: And then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby.
"Execute," he says. We're surprised he didn't go with "whack." Yes, the president claims that gangland slayings of children occur routinely in hospitals. (They don't.) The crowd boos — not him or his vicious lies but the women they believe are psychotic enough to do this before heading off to their mani/pedi appointment. It's chilling.
People without medical training or common sense suggested Governor Ralph "Jazz Singer" Northam had advocated "infanticide" in a radio interview last January. Anti-choice ghouls in politics seized on this as the perfect weapon in their war against women's bodily autonomy. They don't care that it's all vile, disgusting, offensive lies.

"Blood libel" was the antisemitic lie that Jews were killing Christian children and using their blood in religious ceremonies. It was a major theme of Jewish persecution in Europe. History demands we call out these dehumanizing lies for what they are. Unfortunately, the media insists on enabling them.
Politicians make "false claims" or misleading statements all the time. Some classic ones: George H.W. Bush said "read my lips, no new taxes," and then later raised taxes. Bill Clinton said he didn't have "sexual relations with that woman." George W. Bush said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Barack Obama promised that if you "like your health care plan, you can keep it" under the Affordable Care Act, which according to some factcheckers was the greatest lie OF ALL TIME. Trump himself falsely claimed that Mexico would pay for WALL.
Trump however is outright lying about abortion. He's doing so maliciously. He seeks to score political points at the expense of women and medical providers. Nutjobs already shoot doctors who perform abortions. They blow up clinics with pregnant women inside. Trump's setting off his own rhetorical bombs and doesn't care who gets caught in the blast.
Here is a woman on Twitter explaining about those "executions" on the bereavement team in the NICU.

That woman's life is now in danger, along with her colleagues helping parents through the worst day of their life, with little footprints and memory boxes and specially made "angel dresses" for babies born without brains or lungs, who would have only moments to live in their mothers' arms, skin to skin.
Meanwhile, the paper of Paul Anka records left no euphemism unturned.
"Inaccurate Refrain"? That sounds like an unreleased Depeche Mode song. Trump is a lying liar who lies. Why is this so difficult to say? Maggie Haberman at the New York Times did call out Trump for lying recently, but he'd gone so far as to impugn their stellar reporting practices. He didn't simply accuse them of homicide.

Trump lies callously and cruelly. Republicans don't challenge Trump's lies, either. They promote them. Steve Scalise was shot by a real gun with real bullets, not any imaginary bogeyman. The congressman was still in the ICU when Republicans linked his shooting to any liberal criticism of the president, as well as Barack Obama, who was no longer even president. Now, Scalise is happily shoveling Trump's horseshit.
Protecting a baby from being killed after surviving an abortion is apparently just Republicans “seizing” to CNN.… https: //t.co/WuMOsZr7ly

We can't speak for all Republicans, but we are fairly certain Trump hasn't a single fuck to give about abortion or babies, viable or otherwise. His reptile brain understands that the repeated "infanticide" claim appeals to people who desperately want to believe a complex issue is as simple as their own minds. They don't like Democrats or frankly women all that much and are fine with thinking the worst of them. It's how dehumanization works.
The media needs to plainly and unambiguously state that the president of the United States is a liar. Because that's what he is. It's vital to democracy and our sanity that we know what we're facing. Otherwise, Trump will ride his repulsive lies to re-election, and the truth can only just "limp along" after him.
