Trump In Dayton And El Paso Comforts And Consoles ... Himself
We're almost not even mad. This is amazing.
We don't know what was most embarrassing about Donald Trump's visits to El Paso and Dayton to "console" victims on Wednesday, so we'll just start with the tweets. We got a preview of what the tone would be when Trump garbage staffer Dan Scavino thought it would be cool to tweet this:
..The President was treated like a Rock Star inside the hospital, which was all caught on video. They all loved see… https: //t.co/SNGxcbpb8Z

Yeah, fuck the Dems! All the victims worshiped Dear Leader, it was like getting mass shot up was totally worth it because they got to meet Trump in all his "rock star" orange shit-colored glory! And they got his autograph and some of them are still on his tour bus RIGHT NOW!
As Trump flew out of Dayton, he was already pissed off at mayor Nan Whaley and Senator Sherrod Brown, because of course he was:

So now the mayor of Dayton is just like the mayor of San Juan in the president's eyes, because she didn't kiss his ring enough. To be clear, she's not sure what exactly she said that hurt the thin-skinned chickenshit pissbaby's feelings so much. As the Washington Post reports, both Whaley and Brown said generally nice things about Trump's visit, though they might as well have been complimenting Trump for not shitting on the floor in the hospital:
"They were hurting. He was comforting. He did the right things. Melania did the right things," Brown told reporters. "And it's his job in part to comfort people. I'm glad he did it in those hospital rooms."
Whaley added: "I think the victims and the first responders were grateful that the president of the United States came to Dayton."
Of course, during their press conference, Brown did lay into Trump and Republicans for their cuddly relationship with the NRA, which has led them to do absolutely jackshit about gun violence in America. Trump was probably pissed about that.
When Whaley initially saw Trump's tweets, this was her reaction:

WHALEY: Oh well, you know. He lives in his world of Twitter.
That's a very nice way of saying he's a ginormous delusional trash fire with the emotional maturity of a toddler.
The Post notes that in response to the president's pathetic Twitter-bitching, Whaley called him a "bully and a coward" on TV last night. Factcheck correct.
Throughout the day, the alleged president continued tweeting out pictures from his big cool visit that in his mind was clearly all about him. This one was particularly psycho:

Once he was on the ground in El Paso, Trump talked to the media about ... how Sherrod Brown and Nan Whaley are "very dishonest people" who are totally lying about how much everybody in Dayton loved him and showed him so much respect. Ayup!
So Trump's first public comments after meeting with victims of the El Paso mass shooting is to call Sherrod Brown a… https: //t.co/psTQbX8B1P

If the sad motherfucker's mouth is open, he's whining. And lying. Lie-whining.
And of course, Trump's team made propaganda videos about both the Dayton and El Paso visits, because that's normal. Politics is a game, and you gotta stay on top of the messaging, lest people start to tell the truth about how the president is so unfit for human interaction that he literally fucks himself in the ass when he tries to console victims of mass shooting attacks.
To be clear, these cities did not particularly want visits from Trump. Especially El Paso did not want a visit from Trump, since his racist and eliminationist rhetoric was such an inspiration for the man who traveled hours to kill Hispanic people. There were massive protests in both places, because he wasn't wanted. Not even at the hospital in El Paso apparently:
None of the eight patients still being treated at University Medical Center in El Paso agreed to meet with Trump when he visited the hospital, UMC spokesman Ryan Mielke said. Two victims who already had been discharged returned to the hospital with family members to meet with the president.
"This is a very sensitive time in their lives," Mielke said. "Some of them said they didn't want to meet with the president. Some of them didn't want any visitors."
The Washington Post notes that some of the victims did welcome visits from other elected officials, like Texas congresswoman Veronica Escobar.
Meanwhile out there at the El Paso protests:
Congregating under the hot midday sun in a baseball field for an "El Paso Strong" event, some held homemade signs. "Go home! You are NOT welcome here!" read one. "This was Trump-inspired terrorism," read another. "Trump repent," read a third.
At one point, the crowd chanted, "Send him back!" — a nod to the incendiary "Send her back!" chant about Somali-born Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) at one of Trump's campaign rallies last month. [...]
In the crowd at the El Paso Strong event was Shawn Nixon, 20, a Walmart employee who was at work restocking the school supplies area when the gunman opened fire Saturday morning. At the sound of the shots, Nixon said he fell to the ground, pulling with him a young child who had been shopping with his mother.
"All I'm just asking for Donald Trump, for the president, to do is to say 'sorry,' " Nixon said. "He created this crime. He created it because of his words. Every time that he's on TV, that's what he's doing."
"He created this crime."
Throughout the rest of the day, Trump whine-bitched on Twitter about "Sleepy Joe Biden," Fox News'sShep Smith, and Joaquin Castro. (On that last one he had to tweet and delete several times, as Wonkette's Five Dollar Feminist informs us he kept spelling it "Juaquin.")
Oh yeah, and he called Beto O'Rourke "crazy Beto" and bragged about having a bigger crowd size than Beto while he was in the hospital in El Paso .
And that's the end of the story. All in all, another day of failure from a man whose entire life smells of failure.
Do not congratulate.
