Second, the states that tend to get pounded by severe weather tend to be poor. Trump says the states should handle their own disaster aid, but how do poor states do this? Hurricane season starts in 9 days. Since hurricanes mostly hit red states, this should be an interesting season. With the gutting of FEMA, NOAA and the weather service there will be more deaths and deviation than in previous years.
