To be fair, they've been thinking about, and dealing with, infectious disease transmission since at least when AIDS broke out. And really, since before then, for non-AIDS STDs.

I'm still confused at times how they make an absolute Drama out of things that can be easily solved. But the things that are problems they deny or outright ignore.

Steroids make me feel good, too, when I take them for lupus flares. But when they're gone, the crushing fatigue is a kick in the teeth that lasts for days. The Dumpster may have an ugly withdrawal.
If you can stand to listen to "conservative" talk radio, the ads are generally for curing IRS or credit card debt, over-priced "collectible" gold coins, natural prostate treatments, and various nostrums for guys who can't whip it up anymore. The demographic, based on the ads, is very clear.
I'm always amazed that people so fucking stupid can actually function in society. You know, without poking themselves in the eyes with a fork while eating, or crapping in a kitchen drawer.
I got something, probably last Monday getting groceries and visiting the hardware store. Everybody I saw (including me) was wearing a mask, at least inside the stores. Started feeling tired on Thursday, got a stuffed up nose (not massive, and no headache), but that's it. No fever, no coughing. From what I've been reading, it might be a cold. Got tested this morning, and I should find out in a day or two.
I thought that once you started feeling tired that most of the time fever and coughing would show up pretty soon afterwards, but C19 has a large smorgasbord of symptoms.
