FYI, I’ve read multiple places that this is not necessarily a Trump Thing but a Standard Military Thing and that they do this quite a bit because you know, the military budget is only infinite dollars so they gotta save a buck where they can.
I know the perfect solution: next time the "well-regulated militia" shows up at a rally, round em up and put THEM to work administering tests and cleaning nursing homes. We save on the costs of PPE, they could "go back to work", and we can even let them carry their boomsticks while they show how patriotic and free they are. Heck, we can throw in a free haircut as a bonus.
This should change the minds of the people within the National Guard and their families about who to vote for but it won't for 90% of them. Kick me again they'll say.
