Trump is basically pandering to the anti-Nato crowd of his base. It's an unsurprising outcome.

Keeping in mind they understand NATO even less than he.

I completely overlooked Trump murdering irony (again) with his “you have to pay your bills.” LOL. And then my head exploded.

Cue the Irony Fairy...

The same person who never met a debt he repaid is now complaining that our NATO allies owe money and won't be defended until they pay up.

OK. Pay up to whom? It's not like there's some giant poker pot some place where everyone antes in to the kitty. And who appointed the Vulgar Talking Yam the banker for NATO and its poker pool anyway?

One more.

The only time in NATO's history when Article V was invoked? You got it right. When the US was attacked on 9/11. Remember the Yam's reaction? He was happy that once the Towers came down, he now had the tallest buildings in midtown.

Why can't he stroke out and be incapacitated? Why?

Meanwhile, on the home front, this orange monster further demonstrates his limitless supply of gall by bitching that "that the massive legal team he's assembled to bring him through four criminal and two civil cases are overpaid, according to a new report." (Raw Story).

Like it isn't notorious that lawyers who work for Trump get revolving-door fired and replaced, and are never paid anyway.

Then where did that $50,000,000 of campaign funds his campaign claimed went to legal fees go? I mean, I know he stiffs lawyers on the regular, the same as he does other people, but it seems as though many of the current ones have figured out the need to get the cash up front before even thinking about lifting a finger.

Let's make a deal. The MSM can call Biden old if they also report hat every time Trump uses the word sir in a story he is lying.

The most dangerous person is one who has nothing to lose and nothing is “out of bounds” to such a person.

Such is the case of Citizen T, a masquerade play actor posing as a stand up comedian presidential candidate so he can “legally” and incessantly babble in “protected free speech” mode. Everything he says presumes he has already lost these things, and his mind:

-his New York cash, business and assets

-his freedom in Georgia

-his freedom as a US citizen when, not if, Jack Smith, an incredibly persistent and ferociously smart bloodhound prosecutor, bites him in the ass and mounts his head in the Halls of Infamy

-more money and freedom from the New York fraud trial and a myriad of other felony trials in various venues

-whatever is left of mind when Putin publishes pictures of his little head doing all of the thinking in Moscow

All of his House, Senate and State cronies, like Abbott in Texas, and his financial supporters, are similarly dangerous and will meet their demise in similar fashions.

See I did not know up to now that US military spending is 10X what it has to be, and Congress routinely shovels billions of dollars into the Pentagon that the Pentagon never even asked for, because of nefarious behind the scenes machinations by Norway and Germany. I thought it was the military-industrial lobby and complicit politicians right here in the US running up the bill, but apparently not, it is the crafty Europeans. Glad to see we have a steady hand at the tiller.

I am so fucking done with this nitwit holding the country and world hostage. I think the only real answer is to trounce these Republican motherfuckers so hard that the party distances themselves from dingbatboy or splits into the crazy party and the corporate party, and we basically beat the shit out of them and keep beating the shit out of them until Trump is dead or so senile that he has to be hand-fed.

So stand up, dust off, and take a deep breath. Once more, into the breach. These people don’t give up until they’re made to. Then they fucking whine.

It's not necessarily unreasonable to say the NATO allies should spend more on defense.

On the other hand, history shows the big wars in Europe are Bad Things, and that we should try to prevent them.

On yet another hand, it seems humanity takes about a hundred years to forget how bad the last big war in Europe was, and I fear we're coming due for another one. (1600s: Thirty Years War, 1700's: Seven Years War, 1800s: Napoleon, 1900s: WWI and II).

As Colonel Potter said in MASH (or something like this): "We fought a war to end all wars and we liked it so much, we fought another one."

I used to joke that if Putin had invaded Ukraine while the proven rapist Defendant Trump was president, he would have sent the Marines into Odesa to support the Russians.

I'm starting to think to the proven rapist Defendant Trump, it is not a joke.

If Trump were to admit, tomorrow, in front of a bank of microphones and cameras, that he's been taking huge sums of money from Russia for years to parrot Putin's propaganda, Rubio and the rest of those pathetic wimps would find some way to rationalize it. I can hear them now: "He saw it as a way to exert influence over Russia's policy." "At least he wasn't taking money from China, like the Biden crime family." Etc.

Just fucking sad. They'll stay that way until they no longer perceive Trump as a threat to their careers.
