The difference is that Bush is capable of shame and was shamed by it. Trump is shameless.

They eventually called Puerto Vallarta instead. On the plus side, Puerto Vallarta officials were very open to a proposed golf course.

ERCOT is full of redundant services and we've never been sad about it. however, we are entertaining State Sen. Bob Hall's bills which would build in further redundancies to protect against EMP attacks by ISIS and space aliens. we're also considering expanding the grid to Yokelhoma, Loserana, Lesser Mexico and Pirate Kansas. however, we would like for ATT to stop cutting its own fiber optic lines in Fort Stockton because that really fucks with the residents in Brewster County.

The Defense Department didn't have a number for the Governor-General of Puerto Rico, either.

But we have no money. The Kochs and the Mercers took all our money.

"Beck of a job Brownie" was tied around W.'s neck. This 10 out of qm10 rating needs to be tied around Two Scoops and the rest of the party's collective necks.

It needs to be a constant and unceasing reminder of how little they actually care about American citizens.

I think I heard somewhere (here?) that the vinyl or whatever bags that are used for saline are made in PR, too, and that there's a shortage.

She was taught lying by her father. She will pass that tradition on down to her spawn as well. Anything for a buck. If it makes someone else a little more miserable while she is at it, so much the better.

Is Sen. Bob Hall going to allocate money to build the redundant systems using vacuum tubes? That’s really the best way to guard against EMP attacks? And if ATT can’t keep their lines up there are other carriers, including some who specialize in ultra-high availability, but don’t make huge campaign donations. (Yes, the ATT UVN stuff is supposed to do this also, but from what I see, they cut corners blatantly and pay out a pittance in outage credits because it’s cheaper than building it right.)I know the NYC & NYS government agencies are finally moving away from ATT & VZ where possible, and CT basically funded a company to build out the entire state, but most state governments still are afraid to use anyone other than ATT/RBOC and maybe Level3. Specific state agencies (especially quasi-independent agencies) seem to be a lot more willing to work with the specialist companies, but I still get a lot of pushback from consultants saying they can’t do business with someone they’ve never heard of. (Companies I’ve worked for over the past 12 years have had market caps of $2billion to $44billion, so if you’re a telecom consultant and you haven’t heard of us, it’s because you’re not very good at your job.)

Bob Hall is a crazy person. he's even got a primary opponent. but he did get elected saying that Bob Deuell was being too nice to ladies by thinking that maybe they should get equal pay if he was going to force them to carry their fetuses to term. unfortunately, his opponent, while also too being very pro-life, extends that to maternal mortality as she is pretty well known for having a vagina.

you have never been to Brewster County. just a guess.

TX is the only state with an independent energy grid. there are only two others in the country--though who is built into that grid varies by company.

I don't know which company you work for, but, then again, I don't get to choose who ERCOT contracts.

Its going to drive prices on the legitimate drug market through the roof as well. Not to mention the factory for IV bags that's still down causing a scarcity. These kinds of simple economics are beyond Congress' comprehension until it directly effects them or theirs.

I'm so stoked to have a MotoGP buddy on the wonkettes!

I'm predicting bigger things from KTM and would like to see Kallio do more one-off's to keep the heat on not just Smith but Espargaro as well. I've always liked Smith and hope, maybe in vain, for his breakout season with a factory squad. Crutchlow is due for more results as well...I like Cal for his very non-MotoGP personality and fuck-all frankness. Morbidelli may come in like Zarco and light the house on fire, very exciting rookie class next year. Zarco is waiting for Rossi's bike and will likely win on it if/when given the chance. I had higher hopes for Olivera this past season, he sure has the speed to give it to the rest on the right day. Rins has been a favorite of mine in the lower classes (he won Moto2 at the Indy race I went to a few years ago) and I was bummed he busted himself up so badly at COTA. Marquez will be his highlight reel self, sideways more often than not, so good I can't dislike him anymore.
