What no one seems to be pointing out (so I will) is that it doesn't matter whether the Yam actually did the deed with Stormy or not. It's that he tried to cover up his payment to her to keep quiet about whatever happened between them and pass it off as a campaign expense. That is a violation of Federal Election law and it's a fraud.
As with so many of these things, it ain't the crime, it's the cover up.
PS. Go Bobby D! You're more real than any of those clowns. A true NYer.
I hate to post this downfall parody but it is hilarious. Still don’t like to give Adolf any press : https://youtu.be/I9MwJ2nYf3w?si=NANn4KzcJLPXlAoX. Also it is a bit scatalogical and jokes about pound your ass prison are … not really funny if you think about it
Jury just sent judge their first request. Four sections of testimony. Three of them are parts of David Pecker testimony including his Trump Tower meeting with Trump. The fourth is Michael Cohen testimony about the same Trump Tower meeting. Focusing on Pecker testimony and corroborated Cohen testimony seems like it could be a good (albeit early) sign. Thoughts?
As I read this, jury deliberations have just started. Just so ya know, anticipate good news if you see a news flash about the jury returning any time today. There is virtually zero chance for an acquittal, the best Trump and his lawyers can hope for is a hung jury, and Blanche's closing arguments make that clear. A quick return means that they have agreed that he's guilty.
I will say that despite my rant yesterday about how websites are now mostly hellscapes of advertising and forced content... I really like CNN's little counter that tells me how long the Jury has been deliberating. Doesn't gave me anxiety at all. And this will totally be a normal productive work day that will not feature lunchtime chemicals. Nope.
"We didn't pick Cohen up at the witness store. Mr. Trump picked him.”
This is perhaps an allusion to TFG's preference for the phrase "straight out of central casting" when describing certain people. Although it works well on its own, I wonder if the subtle callback was intentional.
“[Michael Cohen is] asking you to believe he was just going to work for free. Do you believe that for a second? ... The idea that President Trump would agree to pay Cohen $420,000 is absurd.”
So which is it, bright boy? TFG signed cheques totaling $420k for work that he never agreed to be done, or he signed cheques totaling $420k for things other than work that he agreed to be done? Because he signed those fucking cheques, and "he didn't know what he was signing" will not fly here. But you are right, TFG would not pay Cohen that much for that, and he DIDN'T, because at least $130k went elsewhere.
I still don't understand why the point that Cohen was an employee of the company and got a salary from them was never mentioned, or that Trump routinely stiffed people he didn't want to pay.
"Do any of you submit an invoice to your employer for work you already get paid for as a matter of routine?"
I think framing the argument of Cohen's lying as "they expected him to lie to protect Trump, then turn around and call him a liar" will resonate with the jury.
I enjoyed Chris Hayes take on things last night. He said something like "Is this exactly what it appears to be? After all this evidence there doesn't seem to be any other explanation for what happened." That's exactly right. And the Defense did not offer us an alternative explanation. So, yeah, it is what it looks like it is.
Pretty sure Tiffany Trump’s dad is Bill Clinton

Steinglass and Marcie Jones mix well! I sure hope for them to say, Guilty, 34 times!
Ta, Marcie. Everyone knows TFG is guilty, but there is apparently a MAGAt on the jury, so I'm not very hopeful.
Wicked retelling! I laffed and I laffed. Thank you Marcie Jones!

Jeebus, that's a *lot* of prison r*pe "jokes".
I remember the Trump 45 administration, each day a new scandal covering up the previous days scandals.
The good old days

Or are they just starting at the beginning, and crom help us, they'll be doing this well into next week.

Or perhaps a callback to George Costanza's epic put down: "the jerk store called -- and they're running out of YOU!"

Brava, Ms. Jones. Brava.
Marcie, I would be lying if I said that reading this article didn't make me mildly aroused. ❣️🎯😄
Mildly? It's a good thing pants aren't allowed.
We'd be looking at a wardrobe change.
Lol! 😆
Also, too, nice work Marcie. I especially loved "Chicken Soup for the Trump-Hating Soul." I definitely land in that column.
