He has a real knack for imagining the mental landscape of a 73-year-old eight grader.

Wouldn't it actually be better to have a 10 year old child as POTUS? At least they would probably take the responsibility of the job more seriously, and have the mental capacity to make a distinction between playtime fantasy and what can actually be done in the real world.

I would like to introduce you to a webperson I found this morning, whilst searching for sheet music. Here's his bio:https://michaelkravchuk.com...He has many, many arrangements of free sheet music on his site, because he says he wants to have the music available for people who live in poor countries and who need the music. He asks for donations to support the site, or we can hire him for music-related tasks. Want something composed? You pick! Genre, instrument, he'll compose it for you. Or write out a piano piece with suggestions for fingering if you have a student that's struggling. Or whatever--he's your huckleberry.I'm trying to get this straight--is this one of the shithole-country-people we want to shoot in the legs? Or are we just going to look at humans of this caliber and say, "Yeah, no, our country's full, try someplace else." The fact that this family wanted to live here is part of what gives me a glimmer of optimism for the place.

Saw some folks from work today. Had conversation today with one Republican state appointee and another very firm independent. He, the appointee, said that Trump has forced moderates like him to move to the left, because where else is there to go? She, the independent, clapped her hands, dropped her jaw, and asked "Can you believe what's going on? Please let's just get rid of him."

The pendulum swings, albeit slowly, and eventually it swings back. Maybe Trump is the end of the rightward arc that began with Reagan, and his presidency, when it is finally, please God, over, will be the thing that starts the pendulum swinging to the left again.

But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he [Trump] suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down.

Seems only sporting, seeing as how fast those cantaloupe-calfed rascals can run.

"Sir, you know no one is going to believe your claim there's nothing compromising in the transcript."

"You're wrong, Anatoli. Comrade Donald and his fellow fools will."

Trump is sounding more and more like General Dreedle ordering that Major Danby be taken out and shot for moaning.

Hopefully Trump doesn't have an M16/M203 combo hidden in his White House desk:

"Say hello to my little friend!"

(large kaboom)

"In today's news President Trump destroyed the White House while playing with a military device. Eyewitnesses are comparing the damage to that caused by British troops during the War of 1812."

Ooh, I know...you could have the people trying to cross the border met by insurance salesmen!

I am an horrible person - keep wondering if there is an itch loon who could turn kid zoom graphics there in to an indy game for good. Then realise I left my rose tinted glasses on.

Yes! By all means, Trump should get hit by the pendulum swinging back. https://uploads.disquscdn.c... That *is* what you meant, right?

Trump told (acting) DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan to stop all migrants at the border, just turn away people legally requesting asylum -- and if McAleenan got in any trouble, Trump would pardon him.

McAleenan would be better off taking his chances seeking asylum in Mexico.

God, I hope so. I have been waiting on it for that long. Reagan v. Carter was the first election I voted in.

Millions upon millions of murderrapist Messicans pouring across the border every single day, taking ALL of our jobs, yet UPS can't manage to keep people in our hub long enough to complete their training.

[ I may be somewhat biased by the fact it seems I'm always the one who gets stuck doing the stuff left un-done by the newbies who quit after a couple of weeks. ]
