why do the courts allow him to disrespect them by pretending to be dumb? he is a self declared genius - surely any 'i didn't know that' defence should be laughed out of court, along with any 'i don't understand how law works'

"Can you give back those top secret documents you stole?"

"No. They're mine. Finder's keepers!"

"That's not how it works. You have to give them back."

"Nuh uh! And I don't have them anyway."

"We know you have them. You've been bragging about having them and showing them to people. That's against the law."

"Oh yeah? Bet you can't find them!"

"We found them."

"Can I have them back?"

"No. And now you're in big trouble."

"Can I still play with them and show my friends?"

"No. Now stop talking. Please. We're begging you."

I think all the info that Pecker gathered on Donnie at the National Enquirer is enjoying Ivana's dirt nap. Stuff he'd want it to be unreasonably hard to retrieve.

Well, that's what she bought and paid for. Even a dummy like me could see they were doing everything the could to stack the Federal Courts with Right Wing loyalists. The two Bushes Vs Gore proved how well that worked.

Makes you wonder if he was so resistant to using SCIFs when it was his job to do so.

… nah, not actually wondering at all. It’s totally a given.

Remember, Mar-a-Lago is a semi-public place, and we already caught that Chinese spy lady with USB drives, and God only knows who else gained access, through bribery of members or honeypot missions, wandering in through the bushes (good job Secret Service), to bug the place.

"...the prosecution of a leading Presidential candidate by his political opponent."

IANAL, but it really sticks in my craw that Trump's asshole lawyers, whoever they are (he has no other kind), are permitted to casually drop baseless slanders in their legal filings without consequence. It's like they lied about what happened in the election in one filing after another.

Presumably they're claiming that's what they would prove in court/would be their theory of the case. Now, obviously, if they continued doing that at trial without any evidence they'd get slapped down or sanctioned, but Trump wouldn't give a shit what happens to them if it serves his overall interest.
