I travel between Portland and southern Oregon pretty frequently. Douglas county always gives me Deliverance-style heebie-jeebies. I am not surprised at all that this goober was from/went on his rampage there.
Holy shit! This is in my neck of the woods! I attended middle school at Winston Middle School and I currently live in Roseburg. I don't watch local news so I hadn't heard about this but wow. It does not surprise me at all. This is the caliber of Republican the area breeds.
