DEI matters to the Christian Nationalists that supported Trump. They believe that there is only one "good" race, white, and all other races are "mud people," who only deserves to exist as slaves to assist the Whites. In effect it is the triumphant return of Jim Crow laws.

As Mike Johnson, the House Speaker who should just shut up forever, put it, all this reverse discrimination is just "intuitively obvious"*--meaning you should have heard Fox News hosts screaming about it since someone tipped them off.

In short, We don't need no fuckin' evidence. It's just intuitively obvious. To US.

*Johnson was talking about something else. But he could have said it about this, and would have if someone asked him. Also, perhaps not entirely verbatim quote because my cats are sick and I'm not going to look it up.

I feel like this has something to do with the 'nasty, corrupt' lawyers and judges that have acted to deny Trump everything he wants.

I was at my law firm for 38 years. Although I was never the only Jew, I have a surname that is essentially only borne by Jews and never was shy about my religion or ethnicity, bringing bagels and hamentaschen and dreidels at the appropriate time. For much of the time I was there, my office was next to the office manager, and she would pop in every once in awhile to make sure they weren't doing something stupid like scheduling a partners meeting on Yom Kippur. What had been "Secretaries Day" and evolved into "Administrative Professionals Day" was almost always scheduled by whoever (Hallmark?) during Passover. I convinced the firm, which liked to start it with a pancake breakfast served by the partners, to change the date.

The year after I retired, I got an email inviting me to an "alumni reception" at the firm. The date of it was smack in the middle of Passover. I wrote one of my Jewish former partners with a "WTF?" She replied they hadn't consulted her, and since she wasn't going, she wasn't going to fight it. I had always fought things like this because I had enough status to cover for the hurt caused by stupid policies to associates and junior staff who were frightened to argue.

Of course, then the pandemic happened and the thing got canceled.

Ta, Robyn. My late mother was a postal employee who started her career sorting mail, became the secretary to the postal inspector, then the secretary to the postmaster. She ended her career as the head of the EEOC for the Philadelphia region (headquartered in Trenton NJ), and she's screaming from her grave.

Apparently Ms Lucas has been working at the EEOC since 2020. That means she has kept that job from going to a white man who, of course, would be much more qualified. Now she's keeping the job of chair from going to a white man. Also, she is the mother of two young children. Isn't she supposed to be home taking care of her kids? Not to mention she spent all those years becoming a lawyer. What a waste of her fertility. I'd say somebody is not following gawd's plan for women.

Krasnov has already made it a priority to punish law firms that have represented democrats or fought for voter rights. But I’m sure this EEOC wouldn’t dream of selectively investigating firms for anti-white male discrimination based on who is on his enemies list, right?

Curiously, at the associate level, “female attorneys were hired at a rate of 53 percent and male attorneys were hired at a rate of 47 percent.”

They have got to stop hiring based on merit. Stop that right now

So, if they are the top law firms in the country, prove it. They should be in court demanding that the EEOC shows how anything claimed violates any provision of the law.

The laws have not changed. Dear Leader and proven rapist Trump demanding segregation doesn't mean the laws have changed.

It pretty much comes down to two justices of the Supreme Court. Four votes for "the election made Trump a dictator even though the last election meant Biden couldn't do jack squat." Three votes for sanity. And Roberts and Barrett hold the best shot at a future for democracy in their hands. After that, the streets.

What crime are these people committing? Because as far as I know, discrimination laws are very specific and hiring a non-white person is not illegal.

How many white men are enough in a firm, hospital, college, workplace, etc.? What is the number/ percent that appeases? Is it 50%? Is it 75%? Is it %100%? How does someone prove that they chose the best person for the job?

The dark secret they don't want to hear is that there are really incompetent white people hired for jobs all the time. Some of whom sleep in the same bed as they do. Even if they're single and celibate.

Silly me, but doesn't SHE herself manage to illustrate that hiring of people other than non white males, white as she may be, can and does happen? WTF?? is her excuse for, oh no, being employed while femaling, even if white? Inquiring white lady would like to know, ya know.

Terrible mistake of DEI hiring. Clearly this Andrea Lucas should be in a kitchen, pregnant, cooking for her man. What are her qualifications for her position again? I’m guessing Fox News.

Maybe the problem is that EEOC is one of those agencies all the he-men think is "girlie", so none of them want to be the director because the directors of all the other federal agencies will make fun of them.
