Hello from Wisco! I have to tell you all about the change of tone in political ads here. It started with attacks on Susan Crawford as weak on crime who really loves to see children get raped, so smart and unscrupulous campaign managers threw it right back in schlemiel's face. Then the clueless bastard tried telling us that he really isn't against abortion, he will simply follow the law written as his hyper-jerrymandered buddies in the Lege wanted it to say. Now it has devolved into screaming that Trump needs your vote NOW! It's the creepiest get out the vote campaign I've ever seen, and I'm not sure it won't work.

Ta, Dok. We all know it's not about who casts the votes, but about who counts them (see Brooks Brothers riot, for example, where Boof Kavanaugh featured prominently). I'm glad I don't bite my nails.

Dems have got to stop running these anti-gun folks in deep red areas. It’s fucking stupid. It’s a freebie for republicans and makes Dems look goddamn incompetent. Especially as traditional democratic voters are arming up.

What should a Dem candidate shoot at in an ad? Can't really think of convincing a gun humper to vote for you unless you're gunning down a tax break or voucher.

Thank you for fixing that. Came here to point out that James Malone won a deep-red PENNSYLVANIA district, not Ohio, but I see you're ahead of me :-)

Sounds like someone might be a little worried about these elections

“The Trump administration will leave Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) in the House, just days before the Senate was finally ready to move on her nomination as UN ambassador.

Why it matters: Stefanik has waited for months on her nomination due to the House GOP's tiny margin. The Florida special elections are Tuesday, but the administration has gotten cold feet about its margin ahead of crucial votes.”

Florida's going to do whatever Floriduh is gonna do... but I am hopeful that Wisconsin has liked the Supreme Court getting rid of a shitty, unfair gerrymander enough to protect the progress.

Still keep trying, Dems. We will not win every race as the unreconstructed are well distributed across the country. But every bit of territory we claw back, the closer we get to a semblance of a check on the pricktator before it's too late.

I always like to use a margin of 10 since there's always a Bart Stupak (or even a Tricia Cotham) or two. But the margin is so slim that the maladministration pulled Stefanik's nomination for US Ambassador (so yeah we have no ambassador while Jizzy is going around the world acting like an oozing pustule). So Stefanik's Second Biggest Fake in the House seat is safe!

Picking away at as many of these unreconstructed assholes to get Hakeem Jeffries the gavel is really job one, because that is our only realistic check. Impeachment means nothing with an unreconstructed majority in the Senate.

Wikipedia says it's 218-213 for the unreconstructed party, with four vacancies. The vacancies are 2-2 R/D - the 2 Florida vacancies are for Congressman Scumbag (Gaetz) and the dipshit Waltz.

The other two are for Sylvester Turner and Raul Grijalva...who I did not know had died and I am quite sad about that. So if we hold those two D seats (likely?) and then flip the two R seats that gives us 214-217...so I would say at a bare minimum as you need 218 for a majority, six races need to be flipped. I Like 10 for the safety margin, but you just need six races (assuming you win the Florida seats or else pick them up elsewhere).

(On edit: Mathed wrong slightly, forgot that the 4 vacancies are subtracted from the current total)

I am also adopting the use of “unreconstructed party" as an alternate description for the Confederates

“Do I think they’ll be able to get even close to the margins that I received or President Trump received? No. Is that a reflection on the president? Absolutely not. It’s a reflection of the candidate running in that race.”

That’s some of the coldest political shade I’ve heard. Frostbite warnings issued for north-central Florida.
