What I meant was that I will grant that, as Lordpnut said, "his hitting record speaks for itself". I would also contend that his admittedly impressive .303 lifetime batting average is somewhat offset by his lifetime 160 home runs. He was a banjo hitter. A .409 slugging percentage is no great shakes.

And (I reiterate) he was an asshole.

You wonder how much longer the Washington professional football team can hang on to its awful name. it's been long overdue for it to change.
