I have no doubt whatsoever that we are #1 in hospital adminstrator salaries, health insurance executive salaries, and plastic surgeon salaries. (No linky, because why the fuck even bother looking it up?)

We come in much much higher when deaths due to gun violence are subtracted.

That's not funny.

That is excellent news, although we will miss you, for fuck's sake.

glad you're back and hope you had decent insurance.

you know, i just heard a great interview on 'fresh air' with a former health ins exec who left the business and is now a campaigner for health care reform (after seeing a traveling medical clinic administering free treatment in a barn).

he debunks nearly ALL of those ins co / wingtard talking points.

the show hasn't posted yet, but it's well worth a listen if you want to proselytize to all those youngsters. <a href="http://www.npr.org/programs..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.npr.org/programs/fresh-air/">http://www.npr.org/programs...

time to restrict access to abortion!

Yeah. There were a few complications. I was on peritonitis anti-biotics for most of the time and all of a sudden my heart decided to go all a-fib.

I would probably have sold my soul to get out of there after 2 days, if someone had asked.

Well, sort of.

The best few hospitals/doctors/treatment centers in the US are world class, probably #1 in many cases. But the falloff between say the Mayo Clinic and the East Bumfuck Regional Stitchemupanddumpemonthecurb Center is massive, and viewing the healthcare provision system as a whole, even without considering the millions unable to access that system, we're still definitely not #1.

We are #1 for the 1% though.

Pretty decent. I still have to make some co-pays, but it would have been 1,000 times worse if I didn't have it.

Joachim von Ribbentrop?

For finances' sake?

You forget: everyone from Canuckistan comes down to the USofA for quality health care they can't receive here, right? Except I don't know ANYONE who has done that. And we instituted health cards 24 years ago in Ontario so people would stop coming across from Detroit or Buffalo for our sweet sweet free health care. (hmmm I remember a certain half-term gov whose family used to do that...)

These are dark days. Yesterday, Mexico surpassed the USA in obesity.
