Uighur Riots In Northwest China Pose Grave Domestic Security Threat To Bermuda, Where There Are Four Uighurs

Known lamer Hu Jintao, the President of China, had to cut short his stay at the boring, disorganized Italian G8 kegger today so as to "deal with" deadly riots in his country's northwest Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, boo. (At least that's his excuse; he just didn't want to answer gay Europe's treehugger questions about the new coal-fired power plants he opens every week -- awkward!) 156 people have died in this latest bout of Uighur-Han Chinese violence centered in the city Urumqi, which is like China's Seattle. So. Should Bermudans be worried that the four released Uighurs from Guantanamo Bay will kill them all? Violent deathbot Andy McCarthy of the National Review   weighs in!

even though the ones we were holding at Gitmo were trained in al-Qaeda-affiliated camps.

The Wall Street Journal (as flagged in the NRO web briefing) reports on rioting in China by Uighur "students" that has left scores dead and hundreds wounded. The "students," described elsewhere in the story as from a "predominantly Muslim ethnic group[, which has] long chafed at restrictions on their civil liberties and religious practices imposed by a Chinese government fearful of political dissent," expressed their dissent by torching cars and buses, as well as — according to accounts of some witnesses to state-controlled media — rampaging "with big knives stabbing people" on the street.

No reason for non-Muslims in Bermuda, Palau, or the United States to worry, though. The lovable Uighurs are merely trying to address "economic and social discrimination." Once they get social justice, I'm sure they'll stop.

How many times does it need to be said? The Chinese Uighurs have no desire and have never desired to commit terrorism against the United States or random tourist islands or Evangelical Presbyterians in central fucking Kansas. The U.S. should consider itself *lucky* that this is the case, after our beloved government beat the shit out of 22 of them in a secret medieval prison for seven years simply because they learned how to shoot guns in Afghanistan. People know how to shoot guns here too, Andy! Seen THIS? I suppose these are just "Real Americans."
