Is the court really this afraid of him and his followers? They clearly want to make it seem like they absolutely had no choice whenever they block some ridiculous EO he writes.
"That’s largely because the 14th Amendment is really clear about who is entitled to citizenship on the basis of birth"
No biggie. The Fulvous Fuckwad is going to unilaterally rescind the 14A via Executive Diktat (to be rubber stamped by the Congressional MAGAdroids); and it ***still*** won't be the law of the land despite RINO opinions to the contrary.
The problem isn't just furiners dropping anchor babies; it's also those uppity African Americans who think they are citizens. They're not. The 14A is unconstitutional because it limits the Executive branch from granting citizenship to the select few while it gave unfettered citizenship to <<<wildly waving arms around>>> SLAVES! The Founding Fathers were correct in saying that the slaves were less than human in the Constitution, yes?

"The Court made up a completely new restriction on lower federal courts, saying their rulings can only apply to the parties in any given lawsuit."
I keep circling back to the same question: why are lower court judges barred from blanket national injunctions now, but it wasn't a problem every time the RINOs sought out a tame judge to issue nationwide injunctions against legislation passed in Congress and signed into law by former Pres Biden solely because the RINOs got the shit end of the stick by losing a floor vote? That was then, and this is now; the RINOs are calling the shots so we better get used to it.
A possible reason might be that Chief Justice Roberts is a spineless paper tiger with no control over highly partisan justices -- who cry "Originalism" unless it might damage their political beliefs. He is more concerned with what sort of revenge the Whale-sized Pumpkin Wannabe Potentate might exact for disloyalty to him personally over a loyalty to the oath he took to uphold the Constitution. Roberts and 4½ justices (Barrett is the ½, she is a conundrum: sometimes she votes for the Constitution and others for repression of rights) need their moral compasses retuned: "Moral courage is the most valuable and usually the most absent characteristic in men." (George S Patton) These fine folk also need to ramp up courage in general: "Without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest." (Maya Angelou)

The response from DOJ's Birkenau Barbie is just what you would expect:
> "Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to Reuveni’s claims Thursday, posting on social media, “We support legitimate whistleblowers, but this disgruntled employee is not a whistleblower — he’s a leaker asserting false claims seeking five minutes of fame, conveniently timed just before a confirmation hearing and a committee vote.”” https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/10/politics/justice-department-ignore-court-orders-emil-bove-erez-reuveni
* Reuveni is just an ex-employee pissed off for getting fired (for being ethical and not a team player).
* False claims despite Reuveni bringing the receipts.
* Five minutes of fame or a patriotic American concerned about the direction the country is going?
* A convenient timed leak, like Hunter Biden's laptop and dick pics? (I still want to know why MTG wasn't busted for showing the pics in a committee hearing in direct violation of DC's revenge porn laws.)
Here is a classic collection of photos that demonstrates the problem with allowing wide open immigration. Immigrants breed and they produce litters of offspring and those offspring spread and take control and spread contagion.
This entire Administration is the reason we can't have nice things. Fuck you Ted Cruz and John Cornholio. But, Henry Kissenger and Rush Limbaugh are dead. Now get me a new Hooper cocktail.
Does the Constitution say that the Supreme Court must be the enemy of the American people? Did I miss that part?
No, I have not carefully thought out this non-comment. Just my gut reaction. Who the fuck *are* these Supremes? And can somebody PLEASE roll out Supremes 2? The sequel just can't be a worse stinker.
The Chief Justice whom Roberts claims to admire most, John Marshall, said multiple times that we should remember that a Comstitution necessarily doesn't account for everything and in interpreting it should remember that it is a document of broad but limited enumerated powers, powers which necessarily include some implicit powers needed to carry out the express powers but not necessarily every sovereign power, such as the ability to just strip people of rights without due process. The whole point of the enunerated powers discussion is the Liberal/Lockean idea that government doesn't automatically have all power but what the people grant it and that government's basic objective is to further rights and liberties while promoting the general welfare. Roberts was happy to invoke the limits of government power as his justification for finding all sorts of liberal efforts to be beyond Congress or the Executive's abilities, but always seems to be extremely reluctant to admit such limits for Trump's actions, much less note that those actions are contrary to the basic goals of the Constitution. Alito, Thomas and to some extent Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett are even more willing to embrace limitless Presidential authority for anything even arguably covered by Article II under the "unitary executive theory" that is utterly ahistorical (there were maybe 1 or 2 founders who would have been okay with it, and even one of those (Hamilton,) explicitly wrote that executives who break the law should not be immune from criminal prosecution). When confronted with the reality that limitless power would in fact mean lots of people have no rights, they will point to thungs like impeachment or the ballot box as checks on misconduct, all evidence of the ineffectiveness of those tools to overturn rigged systems be damned.
Reptileberts, Scalito, Uncle Ruckus, Aunt Lydia, Boof, and Gosuck are sadistic, lying psychopaths whose only joy in life is in harming others and making us suffer.
The shamelessly false rulings, bribes, and open corruption are a side benefit in that they can rub their corruption in our faces, and there's nothing we can do about it.
SCROTUS might pass on this appeal. They made it clear enough last time around. It will infuriate the already infuriated but it is what it is. Also, too, booohoooo.
Madison noted parchment barriers are never adequate to stop ambitious men - the idea is to have the document channel their ambitions in the direction you want them to go. It kinda worked for a while.
I find it funny when smart people keep outsmarting stupid people and making stupid people have to work harder to be stupid.
I don't find it funny when those stupid people are also the leaders of the free world and the smart people are frantically trying to save individual citizens' basic freedoms, however.
So I just spend all my time laugh-crying these days.
Ta, Dok. If we can't pull the Constitution out of the shredder, at least let's unplug it.
Without Jus Soli, we would still be British citizens.,It was the main reason for the War of 1812
But is the 14th amendment really part of the Constitution? It’s doesn’t mention Jesus or guns even once.
Is the court really this afraid of him and his followers? They clearly want to make it seem like they absolutely had no choice whenever they block some ridiculous EO he writes.
They’re doing what they were installed to do.
He owns them.

It seems as though it might be a small issue that the Supreme Court thinks the Constitution is optional.
It’s a piece of paper, a contract kid, and as you know, all contracts are negotiable.

OT: who has two thumbs, rower’s stigmata, and a silver medal in the Over 60s mixed category at the coastal rowing world championship?
This guy!
Congratulations, Saviour!
Congratulations, young fella! You did good.
Haiku for you:
I gotta
stigmata
🤓
Two thumbs? I'm sure there's a traveling carnival you could join ...
And a "coffee" at Starbucks still costs you $5.......
On the other hand, I'm sure you'd rather have the medal than the "coffee"!
Well, *someone* alienating the Brazilians sure as hell ain't gonna bring down the price of coffee!
yaaarrrrrrrrrr!!!
[well done, mate!!]
Who has two thumbs WAY up for the dude who can row a boat in the ocean better than all comers, save one old man?
THIS GUY!
Congrats! Is rower’s stigmata at all like the hole I wear into my right thumb when I ride my dirt bike, sometimes known as Yamathumb?
Holy shit!!!!
Stigmatic bandages for this man, and some CAKE!!!
Cake and beer!
OT: Man, that David Bowie album, The Man Who Sold the World, really fits the bill right now.
Having the car stereo work almost makes up for the A/C not working.
after resolving to not fix things that weren't critical on my old RAV4 the volume knob quit working. . .
Well. that's critical, innit?
it wasn't until i had to xhange the battery. now it's stuck at zero.
Shunned Myanmar leader thrilled at US contact after Trump tariff letter
Min Aung Hlaing expresses ‘sincere appreciation’ for letter from US president threatening 40% tariff
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/11/myanmar-military-leader-min-aung-hlaing-praises-donald-trump
The letter was addressed to Burma.
“BURMA!” “Why’d you say that?” “I panicked!”

I really thought this was The Onion.
Right? I suppose that Min Aung Hlaing was just happy to know that his hero knew he was alive.
Watch, Trump will impose tariffs on Palestine next . . .
There goes the price of dried fruits.
Because he just effectively overturned American foreign policy and recognized their government as legitimate, even if was tied with idiotic threats.
Trump could fuck up an anvil with a rubber hammer.
