Upbeat Wolfowitz Eager to Annihilate Poverty

Earlier today, Paul Wolfowitz told reporters he's determined to "wage war on poverty" if he's confirmed as the new World Bank president. Perhaps based on his experiences with Iraq, however, Wolfowitz has no plans to wage this particular war unilaterally. Instead, he will seek out a broad coalition of "Europe and others" before attacking the world's poor people.— GREG BEATO
