I have no idea what your voice sounds like, but for some reason I can kind o hear you saying this, curdling some redneck in the process.

There seems to be a need in our species--much stronger in some people than others--to label a group of people based on a single, usually inborn, trait and then look down on all of them. It's silly. Maybe some people just need someone to look down on.

People are individuals and should be judged accordingly, based on their words and especially their actions. I get off fairly easy because I'm white, but I'm also a woman and an atheist. Clearly I am not exactly like the other 3.5 billion plus women in the world or like every other atheist. Labeling me obscures what I'm like as a person. It's lazy thinking.

And it's not going to go away soon.
