...fuck.

Actually I wonder when Mexico is going to start closing off medical tourism to people from the US.

Too late for me -- I sent in my mail-in ballot already. Which probably means that I'm registered.

Relatively off-topic but while McConnell says he won't allow a floor vote on a bill to protect Mueller because Trump would veto it that didn't stop him from voting to repeal the ACA 40 or 50 times knowing Obama would do the same.

I am currently a Medicaid recipient and despite the psych fuck-up yesterday, it's still the BEST medical care I've gotten in years. For two years I had an ACA policy with Kaiser, who I really like as a provider but after paying my premiums I had no ability to pay for the treatment/follow up on any of the stuff the preventative stuff found. Fortunately, nothing very serious, but still. I now have appointments to get all those procedures and tests done. PLUS they cover all of my current mental health needs. And my teeth with full dental coverage for adults.

So yes, this is how healthcare should be delivered in this country. Improvements are certainly needed, but the basic structure is already there. For example, my PCP was able to pull up all my Kaiser medical records on the Denver Health computer system. Now THAT'S great step forward in continued care.

"In the General Assembly, though, Rs stuck to their absolute opposition to expanding healthcare, because if poor people can see a doctor, then a communist tanks would soon be rolling through the streets of Richmond, assuming any nominally communist country could afford to ship them over."

Whew; dodged that bullet. Now we can have AMERICAN tanks rolling through Washington D.C. to please the cry-baby in chief.

I think this is so important. We always have to consider the state a Dem is campaigning in. For example, in some deep-red states, we can allow squishiness on gun control issues. You can't govern if you're not elected.

In a perfect world, we'd have enough Dems in the House and Senate that we can allow a few reps to not have to kill their chances of re-election on a tough vote. I think this was sort of the platform Lamb ran on.

Hold your nose if you must but vote DEM.

Check your registration status now and check it again the day before a registration deadline. Don't let the voter suppression machine stop you from voting.

Dumbfuck is just getting started. He's going to start pardoning felons daily to keep Manafort and Cohen from flipping. That's all this is. And I rather doubt it's going to work because state charges can't be pardoned and can result in even tougher sentences than federal charges. And I don't think there are any 'luxury' Club Fed type prisons in the state systems.
