In the next two years, what’s is the over/under estimate for how many times that Trimps administration will go before the SCOTUS (total, plaintiff or defense).

John Roberts will be busy. He helped create the monster. Roberts knew all along about Trump and his Russian (and Italian) mobster connections.

Now this criminal gang govt is purposely screwing up the economy, and the bond and equity markets don’t like the approaching storm.

And the World democracies watch in disbelief as we bend over to Putin.

"Wait, What Was Trump Lie-Babbling About Stacey Abrams Last Night?"

Was his flatulent face anus flapping?

Trump hates women. He also hates Blacks. And he hates prosecuters. Stacy Adams is a Black Woman prosecutor who indicted Trump for trying to steal the Georgia Presidential election. He hates her four ways from hell,

Ta, Dok. I wish I could make them all keep The Amazing Stacey Abrams's name out of their filthy, lying mouths.

This is a well-researched 1300 word truth bomb on Substack that is refuting a 38 word lie made live on national television. The fact is the latter always wins. I don't know what to do about that, but I know we're not doing what it takes.

Ron Spangler's avatar

As it stands now, our major national outlets still air breathless "Did you see what he just did?" stories that don't even touch upon whether what he just did is even legal. We are very far away from not being totally fucked. Fascism is born in the womb of an uninformed electorate.

I guess Mike Johnson’s chief of staff earned a DUI after the dump speech. Jesus didn’t take the wheel.

One wonders if Stacey could file a defamation ( civil ) suit against Trump for repeating this nonsense ( and include Ed Martin and Lee Zeldin in there for good measure ). I mean. does that special SCOTUS "immunity" for "official acts" apply to civil suits? Mebbe so....

BTW - has anyone seen that bit that Ed Martin has dropped his idea of prosecuting Chuck Schumer in his stupid "Operation Whirlwind", which he ballyhooed just a week or so ago. As we already knew, Martin didn't have a case to make, but he sure had a story to tell right wing media, didn't he? Does anyone think Fox, et al., will make sure this latest failure by a Trump appointee/nominee gets heard? I sincerely doubt it.

Gern Blansten's avatar

She should sue Dumpy in particular for defamation that’s his MO and surprise he seems to be doing pretty well lately.

"but when has that ever stopped right-wing media from Benghazi-ing about a non-scandal for years and years"

Right wingnut media doesn't give a flying fuck as to whether something is scandalous or not, or if it's true or not, their raison d'être is entertaining the Rubes who gobble down Mooseballs Mussolini's, his trained attack Dachshunds' and rabid lapdogs' bovine scat like it is a prime filet. Oh, and to spread the Gospels of the RINOs to anyone with a low enough IQ to believe that shit.

"much of which they shouldn’t legally be able to do because so much of it was passed by Congress"

Does anyone here really think that Congressional approval is necessary for any of the Fulvous Flatulence's wet dreams?

* He's fired Inspectors General without following any pertaining legal criteria:

> "Further, in most cases, the President must provide Congress with written notice 15 days before placing an IG on nonduty status and cannot do so at all during the 30-day notice period before removal of an IG without a specific finding that the IG poses a potential threat to employees or the

interest of the government.

Additional protection for ongoing investigations is provided by a requirement that when an IG is removed or placed on non-duty status, the acting IG must report to Congress within 15 days on the office’s projects at the time the IG was removed (5 U.S.C. 405(f))." https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF11546#

* The Mango Malignancy is shitcanning large swaths in the bureaucracy even though this supersedes Congress' rights:

> "Can the President fire everyone?

...

But no bloodbath is imminent, unless Congress sharpens the knife. That is certainly the case when it comes to a president’s ability to unilaterally reshape the size and structure of the executive branch. Congress created that structure in law, reauthorizes it, and (government shutdowns aside) funds it. To wipe out budgeted personnel would amount to impoundment ... which both law and Supreme Court precedent prohibit." https://goodauthority.org/news/why-the-president-cant-just-fire-bureaucrats/

* The Sociopathic Marigold Swamp Monster has tried in many cases to override Congressional power of the purse by withholding already appropriated funds:

> "A week into his second administration, Trump attempted to freeze trillions of dollars in federal grants and loans that fund a vast array of critical services already approved by Congress. ...

However, under both the Constitution and the Impoundment Control Act, the president cannot withhold congressionally-approved funding without congressional authorization." https://www.aclu.org/news/civil-liberties/trumps-attempt-to-unilaterally-control-state-and-local-funding-is-dangerous-dumb-and-undemocratic

* Etc... etc... etc...

"Trump’s EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin saw a video made by Project Veritas"

You can't fault Zeldin for this; after all, the Latin word for "truth" is part of their name. I must assume, given the translation, that this organization, filled with many fine folk, is honest and truthful.

"Stacey Abrams literally had nothing, zero, naught, nada, bugger-all, not a whit, nuffin guvna to do with Power Forward Communities."

If Ms Abrams wasn't involved, then surely Fani Willis was!

"And of course, there’s no evidence at all that the grant was improper."

There most certainly is. It's being stored along side of the proof of Dem election fraud in 2020.

Ummmm... I tried to see what official or commercial position Ms Abrams holds that could benefit from the grant. Since I couldn't find anything I broadened my search and accidently included elno and friends. Boy was there a long list of conflicts all of a sudden.

Why are they even going through the process of concocting lies and fake scandals, when Shitler's entire justification for everything he does is 'I don't wanna!'? It seems like a lot of unnecessary work when he's being allowed - ENCOURAGED - to do whatever the fuck he wants for any reason or no reason.

Re: the trans mice - I read a story a few weeks ago that some high school English teacher in New England wanted to take their students on a field trip to Concord, MA to learn about Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Thoreau. When some of the parents heard that the kids were going to learn about the Transcendentalist Movement, they freaked out and snatched their kids out of class. You can't make this shit up.

My reading of the teacher's post is that this really happened and she marked it as "Humor" because "If I didn't laugh, I'd cry". I knew there were MAGAs in Massachusetts, but I'm kinda surprised to find out there might be some in Concord of all places. You know, birthplace of the American Revolution and all. I don't think there are many in my town (Arlington) because some kids at my grandson's elementary school were making fun of Trump and nobody reprimanded them.

Could Trump's brain be rewired so that every lie would automatically be converted to truth?

Resource NW's avatar

Possible. I think it is one of those boogieman operators. "If yes=No". That or he was dropped on his head lots as a child. And perhaps while in his military academy.... and when he owed the mob money.....

Probably not. There's only two or three wires in there and I don't think they connect to anything at either end.

"White House Issues Head-Scratcher Of A Defense For Trump’s ‘Transgender Mice’ Claim

The White House issued a press release in defense of one of Trump’s more eyebrow-raising remarks during last night’s speech: that the federal government had spent $8 million on “making mice transgender.”

“This is real,” Trump said without further explanation.

The $8 million figure was supposedly reached by adding up the cost of six separate studies involving mice. The first study aimed to evaluate how gender-affirming care may impact the efficacy of an HIV vaccine. The second sought insights on how testosterone affects reproductive function in transgender men. A third focused on breast cancer risk among transgender men. A fourth looked at how the gut microbiome could be interacting with hormone therapy. The fifth sought to better understand female sex hormones and reproductive function in transgender men, and the sixth sought to better understand asthma in all people, including trans folks.

So no, the researchers were not “making mice transgender” for the fun of it, but to help build knowledge about human beings.

The White House trashed “the Fake News losers at CNN” for a mistaken attempt to fact-check Trump’s claim last night, as the network speculated that he was referring to a study involving hormone therapy on monkeys. According to the White House, “President Trump was right (as usual)."" {HuffPost Updates}

Glennis Waterman's avatar

You would think that if you WANTED to be anti-trans and believed with all your heart that there's no such thing as gender dysmorphia, you would welcome actual scientific research that, supposedly, would prove your case. But no......

"This is real," Trump said

NEARLY ALWAYS A LIE ^^^

Not enough media and not enough ordinary citizens DEMAND THAT HE PROVE WHAT HE IS SAYING IS TRUE.

CHALLENGE THE *PROVEN* LIAR.

🙁😒

The issues are that holding President Klan Robe accountable doesn't get you clout and clicks. And we all see it, President Klan Robe gets easily post-turtled by a SINGLE follow-up question. (Kaitlan Collins seems to do this the most for some reason). All you need is one follow-up question and he loses the plot and wild out.

But they choose not to do this for two reasons:

1. They're access-driven gossip columnists. This is one of the reasons for the big hate-on for Biden's competently run administration, because people were too busy doing their goddamn jobs to supply palace intrigue for their shitty rags. Without the gossip they are made redundant. And we can tell how effective Biden was because as much as Democrats love throwing one another under the bus? There hasn't been a SINGLE tell-all book detailing palace intrigue. Nobody has been hiding nasty details about Biden (or Kamala Harris) to put into a book.

2. Murc's Law is Cruise Control for Cool (and Clicks). You only get the clicks and sustained attention by nitpicking Dems. We all remember that weeks-long freakout of these people crawling up Kamala Harris' ass about her working at McDonalds as a kid in the 1980s? That was how good this woman was, they had to manufacture controversy and make it look like she's wrong. There is no way a McDonalds from the 1980s would still have staff records, even if the franchisee were even still in operation. And hell I've worked jobs where I honestly couldn't tell you what year I worked there and who my supervisor was, and I'm only 45!

3. President Klan Robe's fuckery gets clicks and ratings. They're intellectually bankrupt. They all nitpicked Biden and then Harris to death because they wanted the clicks and ratings. It means profit for them even though the rest of us get the chop. And what they do just makes it easy for the next pricktator to come along.
