As an independent voter, after my profound shock of Trump's election win, I have come to understand the mentality of the "Trump Cult." They have many hyperbolic beliefs, fueled by the right-wing media juggernaut, that "If liberal media is against my gal, then she must be our Hero in Truth!" As Americans we must take this very seriously! We need more nuanced articles like these to proliferate into national discussion to hold politicians like Tulsi Gabbard accountable for their potential disastrous roles in the U.S. Government. For one, it is not enough to shout "She's A Russian Asset!" Or "She grew up in a weird cult" or "She's unqualified" and hope this message resonates and lands on Senators who will vet her. As Americans who value law, order, ethics, morality, national security, and democracy, if we want Trump's attempt at this fascist soft coup to fail, we must get more strategic and savvy.
