The rules are gradually becoming clear: "Shit" is a-ok -- when the President says it. "Asshole," though? It's a family newspaper, young man.

Also, an alert reader caught this, from the transcript, on the subject of Kofi Annan:

BUSH: "I don't like the sequence of it. His attitude is basically ceasefire and [then] everything else happens. You know what I'm saying? "

More evidence, as if more was needed, that Bush has been hammered all week. Not that we're judging -- we've been drunk since the aborted censure hearings.
