Trump + Tea Party = End of GOP. Congress is becoming so dysfunctional, this country will need some kind of institutional reform to keep the Union running with 50 union members, unionized. They see themselves in him -- he is a walking, talking Mary Sue for undereducated, authoritarian white bigots. Trump shows that intelligence and thoughtfulness are not especially required to be a billionaire, and unreconstructed bigotry is no barrier to fame and fortune. They forget the part about inheriting a massive amount of money to make the rest of the fantasy happen, but you can understand the confusion.
I really am starting to loathe my fellow countryfolk. And if they manage to hork any of these fascists in to office, I'm going to loathe them from afar.
I love John Waters. I love the Byrd (true fact: Walter Coulter, one of the co-owners of the Byrd when it was built and manager of it for many years, lived in the house next to my partner's--my partner became good friends with Walter's two "spinster" daughters when he moved next door to them in early 1980s--they lived there until the early aughts of this century before they had to go into nursing homes). But at 6'3", those seats at the Byrd are brutal to me.
Corrections: Walter Coulter was one of the builders. Robert Coulter was the manager of the Byrd for decades until he retired in 1971. So it's Robert's daughters that the partner lived next to. ButchWagstaff regrets any inconvenience that this may have caused for any Wonketters.
