When I needed to take a make-up midterm because of a conflict with another class, he refused, saying "I never give make-up exams because they don't give make-up exams at Harvard." Well, we weren't at fucking Harvard, were we??? I had to complain to the Dean to get him to let me take the make-up exam. Then he kept telling me that he had never given an "A" on a make-up exam, which meant he was lying about never having given one before. I was determined to get an "A" so I studied like crazy, and I got one, which really pissed him off. Oh, well, he's dead now, and I'm not, so I guess I won.
Nothing wrong with that. I really loathe the whole prestige school bullshit and people looking down their noses at which school a person went to or if they have a degree or not. Any higher education from an accredited college or university is just fine by me.
