Thanksgiving rustic soup update… I decided to roast the turkey breast before incorporating it into the soup. This *should* pull more flavor out of the meat, and allow for leftovers I can send home with my son.
I am feeling very thankful today and enjoying a day of meditating on all of the good things despite the intrusions of our less than optimal politics. I hope all of you guys have a great day with friends and family. I owe much to people that I've met here. I'll lift a glass to you all myself a bit later.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are detaining Bruna Caroline Ferreira, the former fiancée of Leavitt’s brother, Michael Leavitt, on Nov. 12. She was detained after being pulled over on her way to pick up her son from school, according to Ferreira’s attorney, Todd Pomerleau.
“She was arrested, was never told why, and shipped to the South,” Pomerleau said in an interview Wednesday. “She deserves to be back with her family.”
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the arrest, saying that Ferreira has a criminal record and was previously arrested for battery. The agency did not provide evidence of any criminal offenses. Pomerleau denied that she had any criminal history.
“Under President [Donald] Trump and Secretary [Kristi L.] Noem, all individuals unlawfully present in the United States are subject to deportation,” the spokesperson said in a statement...."
