I've become involved in politics & criminal/social justice issues, & have had the pleasure of working with Mike. He comes off as a grumpy bear, for sure, but he's wholly unafraid to speak truth to power (his Twitter during legislative session is merciless) & is beloved as an advocate of THE PEOPLE. Lyrical? No way. But he's one of the most honest & forthright pols I've ever met.
