Being a public health professional doesn't in any way imply that you know the pricing rules the ACA imposes on insurance companies. The fact that you seem to think insurance companies are still a significant factor in medical bloat, just illustrates the point.

I find much to agree with in the article, but the slogan "Better Deal" is both bland and awful. It sounds like a discount store. Dems can do better.

And let's ditch the "Single Payer" label too. It's unknown and will be labeled as socialist, communist, Sharia law or all of the above the moment the Dems push it. Better to use "Medicare for All." People know Medicare and most know someone who benefits from it. Talking points can be made about its simplicity and efficiency. Using the Medicare administration system, which already exists, will save the U.S. many tons of money. Our current system requires massive duplication of administration; this pays for paperwork, not healthcare.

Dems really need to learn to message better.
