Fuck you, Senator, and your alleged concern.

Another Trumpsucking drone. You failed us when we needed you.

What does it even matter? This bitch and Collinscunt have their tag-team bullshit down pat.

One votes her non-'conscience'; the other toes the Rapeublicunt line.

Win-win for Nazism.

Wait.

She is relying on the House, which sent the Senate a horrible bill that Lisa had to "fix" will "fix" the bill she voted for?

TBH, I think she and Susan are trading "moderate" votes.

Let’s find ways to fund a massive move of our citizens to Alaska, where they will get the crucial benefits they need.

"We do not have a perfect bill by any stretch of the imagination. My hope is that the House is going to look at this and recognize that we're not there yet."

A) If she had voted no, the Senate could have done that, as it should have.

B) Unless she had a major stroke (possible, given her behavior on camera) she is obviously lying, because no one who has been in Washington for any length of time since 1994 (or, really, been awake) believes that the Republicans in the House can make anything better.

Alaska, our biggest "Welfare State", without oil subsidies, and the like half the State couldn't afford to buy beer.

Okay, that title a) made me roar with laughter, and b) feel completely redundant.

I was writing a letter to Sen. Murkowski, leaving it in an open window for reference and editing, and here is the text of it, directly cut'n'pasted:

Dear Senator Murkowski,

You are no John McCain.

I understand you are a Senator for Alaska, but you also swore an oath to the entire USA, and you have sold out the lower 48 states for an Alaskan exemption to the horror which you have condemned them.

Enjoy thy thirty pieces of silver.

Sincerely,

Now I'm wondering if I should bother printing off and mailing it. Oh well...

I think she's only ever enjoyed tepid support. Republicans vote for her, but don't seem very enthused. She could easily lose the next election.

she's also in MN. i can't believe we still have to say this - to our own goddamn tribe- we come in different flavors. if we're ever to hold power again, we have to embrace the big tent we supposedly welcome.

AOC reps what AOC reps and spanberger reps what she reps and my gov/rep (pritzger/schawkowski) rep what they rep.

that's how it works.

Remember when Murkowski was talking about joining the Democratic Party?

Her recent actions show she'd be perfect for a slot in Democratic leadership.

Piss off. Every Democratic senator voted against this monstrosity: people like you who slam Democrats as much as the GOP are a big reason we're in this fucking disaster.

The sad thing about Murkowski is that the party had already rejected her. She had to run as an independent or a write-in candidate in her last election. So why would she be so subservient to the GOP. Just vote "no" and start over again.

1st time ever today called my cong-rep (at the behest of TFN). I live in a purpling-in-the wrong-direction district albeit a fairly strong union-y one. He votes the way I prefer except for tariffs (we have tariff-positive anti-foreign-dumping mega-industries nearby. The seat nearly flipped in 2018 52-47, funded by a local religious mega-org with a dark history of pastoral diddling. There are too many daily reminders here of the cruelty mindset via the flags, stickers, signs still prominently displayed going on a year or more, strikingly contrasted by a few pride flags sprinkled here and there. Hoping not log-cabin-y ones.
