Take a moment and imagine the following scenario: A Muslim man is arrested after it is discovered that he had planned to burn down a Christian church and discussed these plans with an FBI informant. Authorities also reveal that he had spent time on Islamic fundamentalist websites talking about how Christians must be taken down with AR-15s.
OT, but I once bought a used car that had no carburetor. The dealership had screwed with the car computer to not toggle the check engine light until I drove ~60 miles (off the lot basically), which is like buying a car with sawdust in the muffler. I was so upset! One of the few times I regretted being a late-30s (now early-40s) woman who didn't have her dad with her to not get screwed over by a used car salesman.
Other than that, the car was great. I still have it, now with carburetor. Turns out, Subarus are workhorses.
Saw something really funny in a "how to get a job" blurb. Never put "Microsoft Office" on a resume because it sounds like you're pandering. It said that employers expect it as a given that you know all about that, so you shouldn't call attention to it.
Right. And how many people couldn't turn on Excel, much less figure out what to do about it?
Hmm... Does Herr Trumpenfürher's ridiculous "for every new regulation, two others must be eliminated" rule apply here? If so, we only need him to sign one more amazingly shortsighted rollback (which will probably come along any minute now), and we haz a new credit in the regulation bank! Woot!
What should we spend it on? The possibilities are endless! Safe food maybe? Clean water? No guns for the mentally unstable? A new requirement that all govt. contractors maintain membership in good standing at Mar-A-Lago?
Ah, shit. Ranking just those examples by order of "likelihood to actually be implemented" leads to the only reasonable conclusion, which is:
I saw something tonight about ICE picking up some latino looking folks as they left a homeless shelter. They let one green card guy go and took others away in a van. It was in Alexandria, VA. Even if they aren't being told from higher up (and who knows) to just randomly get anyone they can, there certainly seem to be ICE people who believe they can, and unless the people have family and/or lawyers (no guarantees even if) they could be gone before anyone can do anything.
Yes, an act of terrorism is terrorism no matter who commits said act of terrorism, which is why I don't play the "if he were Muslim" game. Also from the Southern Poverty Law Center (it's not an either/or proposition; therefore all sides need to stop deflecting):

White Guy Who Planned Mosque Attack Not Charged With Terrorism. Wonder Why!
I think the gif was her reaction to the fact that he turned back, looked right past her and acknowledged Ivanka and Kushner just behind...
or just that she hates him, more likely
OT: Is anyone else having trouble with loading content? Now that we don't have ads, threads are opening for me slower than when we did have them.

Plotting to do white wing terror against Muslims. Just not that bad, apparently. /s

FIFY (may have gone a bit overboard bringing the Kiwi with far too many names into it at the beginning, but the end part is corrected at least)
Getting? It's been that way since forever.

We are well and truly fucked.

Where does Orange fit in here?
