I had something similar happen to me, which is definitely honest to a fault, but when two NSA agents are standing outside your door and you are hungover AF you generally just want to answer the questions and make them go away.
History is going to judge the Roberts Court by his decision as to reform
Durbin is right. I'm reminded of what Justice Stevens said in his dissent in Bush vs. Gore:
"Time will one day heal the wound to that confidence that will be inflicted by today's decision. One thing, however, is certain. Although we may never know with complete certainty the identity of the winner of this year's Presidential election, the identity of the loser is perfectly clear. It is the Nation's confidence in the judge as an impartial guardian of the rule of law.”
Stevens predicted that the "wound to that confidence" would last for "generations." And we are still seeing it fester.
I honestly don't care about who paid his debt. He 100% failed his job interview if you look at it in an objective manner. His decorum when being questioned was childish, emotional and beyond disrespectful to the committee. Anyone voting to confirm agreed that toddlers should be allowed on the highest court of the country.
They are not and never were Trump's judges. They're McConnell's and Leo's judges.
That's why so many of "TFG"s policies have survived -- because many of them are the pre-TFG GOP's policies too; and why so many of TFG's personal cases have not gone his way -- because why should they protect the guy who just ordered up the HR paperwork?
We did yearn for the days when the potus and government was competent enough that we could turn our attention elsewhere for days at a time. Biden returned us to that mostly boring normalcy of governance. The Trump era was a steaming pile of corrupt garbage, scandal and controversy while most duties of the government were underserved or ignored. I’m relieved Biden is running again, but will he have the strength and health to endure another election and term?
He is a flaming POS.
or just let the YT algorithm do what it does until you're elbow deep in a steady stream of RWNJ content.
Silver spent the last few years lingering around the poker tables, a career that attracts it's share of Libertarian/Conservative weirdos.

Say, are you an alumn too? Clerk 1979, associate in T&E 1983-89
We can't. Can't talk about clients.
New York State Assembly, 2007-2018.
But no connection to Greenberg?
They lobbied us.

Poor Neil thinks he's hot snot when he's really nothing but cold boogers.

Scientifically, it’s a bloated, gassy creature bullying a limp noodle.

A dominance display. He could just as easily of clamped his maw around Gorsuch's neck.
