If ICE went after the "hardened criminals" and "violent offenders" they might have guns and might shoot back.

Much easier to go after the innocent.

Should never have gotten as far as a trial. The federal judge should have thrown it out for the obvious absurdity of the target walking past agents and them doing nothing. Also because while the target was under her authority, so to say, inside the courtroom, she can do whatever she wants. She could have allowed the guy to stay in the courtroom until the agents got tired or hungry and left, for example.

We need more pressure on federal judges to not be granting the regime any presumption of good faith. The judiciary need to be talking amongst themselves as well. I assume there are mechanisms for that. You can be sure if a traditional mafia group had seized control of the federal executive through legitimate elections, there would be such deliberations on how to deal with it, and strategies for resistance. The same if let us say an obviously foreign-aligned group had won elections and was implementing a quisling program furthering, say, a Chinese agenda. The judiciary has also sworn oaths to the Constitution. That a sixth of them, including 2/3 of the SC are all in on the Maga coup doesn't let the others off the hook, individually or as a body.

If you deport someone who is identified as a witness in a federal trial so as that they can't testify in said federal trial, that a crime?

Expand full comment
Doktor Zoom's avatar

I don't think he'd have been called as a witness though, because the prosecution would then be able to point at his record and the domestic violence charges he faced. (Never mind that deporting him meant the case was dismissed.)

Ta, Dok. Judge Hannah Dugan is a hera, and the ICE goons are incompetent assholes. Kudos also too to the chief judge, whose name I didn't catch, for advising his fellow judges what the law is, and how to follow it.

The video of her driving Flores-Ruiz's getaway car will definitely hurt her at the trial.

How she managed to prop herself out the driver's side window and spray the ICE pursuit with that .50 calibre M2 covering fire while steering with one foot and tossing a grenade with the other foot might also influence the jury decision!

Still even if she is convicted the judge might give her the option to serve time in a BOP prison or enlist in the Marine Corps. War is coming and her demonstrable skill set will be in high demand.

When a judge follows the law and the DOJ calls it “obstruction,” you’re not watching justice. You’re watching a tantrum in a badge costume. If the case hinges on agents choosing not to arrest someone standing eleven feet away, that’s not criminal genius foiled. That’s incompetence suing for its reputation.

I'm betting on the jury saying "Are you kidding?" but I've been wrong before.

"Biskupic pointed out that the agents watched their target walk right past them, then only gave chase after he departed the courthouse."

A chase would be more cinematic, if they were looking for something they could turn into one of their videos.

There is a video of ICE trying to grab some guy. The guy runs with his e-bike, hops on. scoots away and ICE stumbles over them selves like the Keystone Kops.

Trump brands fentanyl a ‘weapon of mass destruction’ in drug war escalation

Our daughter battled cancer for five years. Started in her colon, but spread to her ovaries, later her breasts, and finally to the back of her abdominal cavity.

Hundreds of days of chemo over the five years, many, many surgeries, even radiation near the end.

Needless to say, she dealt with an enormous amount of pain.

The one thing that really helped alleviate the pain was Fentanyl patches. Glorious relief!

If anything had prevented her doctors from using the patches, I would have become dangerously violent. I was NOT going to sit there and watch her suffer, while at the same time knowing there was something that could help. Fortunately that never happened.

I am available to speak at any congressional hearings to tell her story, if anyone needs me. (And I might even show up to them and speak without being invited!)
