Will Trump Bring Back HUAC And Put This Wacky Racist Dude In Charge Of It?

Among the many things we may be able to look forward to during a Trump presidency -- Supreme Court Judge Peter Thiel, anyone? -- noted conspiracy theorist and weird racist dude Michael Savage would like to reinstate the House Un-American Activities Committee, and be in charge of it. Which would be weird, as he is not a member of the House.

 Right Wing Watch reports that on his radio show on Tuesday, Savage said he would like to see President Trump establish a new thing that's exactly like HUAC -- but not called that because SOME people don't think it was such an awesome thing to go around investigating people for maybe being into communism and ruining their lives and careers over it -- and Savage would run it, and he would like, investigate liberal groups for being, uh, liberal. And stuff! Which means they are SUBVERSIVE. Savage listed about 85 bajillion organizations including "People For the American Way, the American Civil Liberties Union, MoveOn, Center for American Progress, Black Lives Matter, Media Matters and the National Council of Churches" that he would like to "investigate."

Of course, Savage, who believes President Obama hired a "$2,000-a-night hooker" to kill Antonin Scalia, notes that there is only a slight possibility Trump will become President -- not because he is terrible, but because we liberals are already planning to steal the election from him.

“If Trump wins, which is a longshot by the way with the voter fraud that’s on the horizon, the electronic fraud is being set up as I speak by the vermin that work for Soros and others, they’re going to steal the election as sure as I’m sitting here, but if Trump should win, that’s when our work really would begin.”

Savage does not explain how this new committee would work, but I imagine it would go something like him cross-examining members of these groups and asking them "Are you now, or have you ever been, a librul ?" and if they say yes, then he gets to be all "HA! I knew your organization was biased!" and then he gets to set them on fire because THE LAW says only conservatives are allowed to form groups and stuff, or vote, or do anything.

In case you are thinking this is all very silly and that no one would appoint a lunatic like Michael Savage to do anything, when Trump was on his show one time, Trump  told Savage  that maybe there's an appointment in his future! It's true! Savage asked if he could maybe be in charge of the National Institutes on Health. Which makes sense given that he (under his real name, Michael A. Wiener), has written a book on homeopathy . Trump responded to that by saying he thinks that would be a great idea, prompting Savage to tell him that he would vow to bring "common sense" to the institution. Of course, Donald Trump has a worse memory than even water (homeopathy joke!), so he may not even remember doing that.
