Or get the hell off Facebook. Or ditch their Apple smartphone. Or Google smartphone. Or PC with an Intel processor (with possibly an nVidia graphics card).......

Yet they issue them to half-trained law-enforcement types. Fun.

Giving you this advice as someone who isn't an attorney: Be careful with where you go with this, because you're nudging up against the mall ninja border here.

Two days after the Las Vegas shooting, my brother, a gun store owner and a Trumper, put up the exact same type of rifle used in the shooting for sale on his shop's Facebook page. There aren't enough words to describe how I feel about him, but "Merchant of Death" comes the closest.

Well, to be fair, there's been so many he's felt that way about, it's hard to be sure which you were referring to.

> be able to sue lawmakers who write laws that cause people to die because they promote a pro-firearms organization that senselessly and unconstitutionally promotes reckless gun ownership with wanton disregard for human life?

There's an argument for manslaughter with depraved indifference or negligence, but you can't argue it at the same time you're arguing murder with intent. Prosecutor shot himself in the foot by trying to shoot the moon with a weak hand.

There should be, but they almost never are. Which makes this case stick out even more.

I'm surprised the prosecutor didn't go for manslaughter. Bloke fired a gun, a thing that is known to be unsafe.

Mind you, I'm often surprised at the times what I think s manslaughter is convicted of murder- the guy who kills someone with a punch be cause as the victim fell they hit their head on the kerb springs to mind.

Also, isn't involuntary manslaughter a tautology?

We're all clumps of cells.

I do think there should be some upper limit on terminations, but the idea that a foetus at just a few weeks has any sort of humanity is just ridiculous.

Fairly frequently parents kill their kids because they want to pray the diabetes - or some other illness - away. I think that happens much more frequently than this case, but everyone says it's God's will or some shit. And the parents go on to breed some more. The prosecutor may have made the wrong charge here. Live and learn.
