I can't believe that Wisconsin has the same size legislature as Ohio with half the population.

I just wish Ohio could get a taste of that antigerrymandering medicine for our own damn selves. They do that, I will even play them Ashokan Farewell on my accordion.

It's mindboggling how lopsided the legislature is, the GOP must have really mastered the art of the gerrymander.

Weren't the Wisconsin R's planning to send the new D supreme court justice to impeachent limbo? I can't believe they gave up on that bit o' ratfuckery.

Because the country was talking about it.

It was national, and they didn't want the shitstorm.

Haven't read back in time yet, but van I assume Vos is being hit by a recall for not being rabid right enough?

I hope the Badger Dems remember the adage: If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. Don't trust anybody with an "R" after their name. They didn't drop their opposition, they just have something up their other sleeves.

How can we win if we have to fight fair? Having such unpopular policies and unappetizing politicians, we need the playing field tilted and the right to move the goalposts as needed!

“It was a matter of choosing to be stabbed, shot, poisoned or led to the guillotine. […] We chose to be stabbed, so we can live to fight another day.”

>I'm not sure he gets his own analogy there, as they were all 'how you wanna die?' and not 'do you want to die or just be injured?'

They don't comprehend words very well, they are used to speaking garbled nonsense to their voters.

Thanks for including "bread and jam" in the caption, Dok. Otherwise, I would not have thought about "Bread and Jam for Frances."

As a Wisconsinite, I wouldn't trust the Republicans - and Vos in particular - as far as I could throw them. Now that their partisan hack Supreme Court justices are in an ideological minority, they need to be crushed mercilessly. Evers can take a lesson from the Republicans in the House of Representatives, who are currently deep sixing legislation on immigration that they demanded in exchange for foreign aid money for Ukraine, et al. Democrats need to play hard ball when they have the advantage. Evers should veto and let the Supremes do their thing. Don't trust assholes like Vos for one second.

I hate Vos. He's a sneaky weasel who will do ANYTHING to maintain his power, so I do not trust this at all.

I'd rather one of the other maps be put into place by the WI SC.
