Congress and the courts must act now to restore the rule of law, demand the evidence, halt these strikes, and open an international investigation. The families of the victims deserve accountability, not secret CIA talking points.
It really is the lack of consequences, isn't it. I mean, stupid, deluded, crazy people are going to do stupid, deluded and crazy things, and there will always be such people, and there being appropriate consequences won't stop them the first time, because they just don't get it. But appropriate consequences have at least a chance of stopping the second, third, and fourth times. FAFO only works if people actually find out.
I'm reminded of the story of a Pope who had his predecessor exhumed and put on trial for heresy or something. This will only stop when Trump is dead, but I'd still like to see him on trial for crimes against humanity.
