Not for nothing, but I lived in Tucson when I was a kid a half-century ago, and even then while we self-sustaining with the local aquifer, with some 262K people. Now they're up to some 548K people, each of whom are trying to grow golf course lawns, as well as the bloody golf courses themselves. Phoenix and Las Vegas are going to be the real, ahem, hot spots, where golf course operators are going to be begging for permission to water their courses during the summer, even though no one will be able to play in the killing heat during the daytime. I wonder if night golf will be the next big thing, because at least at midnight it will only be 85° F/30° C.
