Unfortunately there was a Twitter update (twupdate?) informing us that the picture was actually taken at an event while Kennedy was still a senator. So it's possible Miss D'Alesandro was still underage in that picture. Not to creep you out or anything.
"Nostalgia"? More like a 50-year long case of PTSD; a nightmare that just won't go away. I would have been more than happy to have never witnessed it and the other infamous murders and assassinations of that decade. It was an extremely traumatic and wretched thing to experience right at the same time as my 10th birthday, and I hate, hate, hate being reminded of it. The misery associated with those days was almost too much to bear, and I steadfastly avoid any detailed recreations or commemorations of 11/22/63. I am getting short of breath even as I write this. They can take all of that conspiracy buff shit and shove it. This is not by any stretch a subject associated with any feelings of nostalgia. God damn it to hell!!
