I didn't see that this was playing, so I am hoping someone pointed out the music. The Creature's orchestra sting makes the movie, if you ask me.

The lagoon again. That mythical soup where men meet their monsters and call it science.

Funny how every “beauty and the beast” story is really about men trying to touch the divine feminine and drowning in the process. The Gill-man just made it literal.

Republicans' chat about sending people to gas chambers - 2900 pages of this - does not "pale in comparison to Jay Jones' single text", regardless of what JV Dunce might tell you

since the latter is a compulsive liar who deliberately disrupted travel to the #NoKings protests with LIVE WEAPONRY under the pretext of "showing off military readiness"

... like you may remember the regime did a flyover that "somehow" drowned out the Epstein survivors' press conference 🤔🙄

Trix for the win! Jeff Tiedrich's column leads off with our beloved overlord (or is her official title "Overlord Regent" as we await Donna Rose's ascendency?) and her protest sign:

I didn't even do anything traumatic to my shoulder yesterday, and now it aches in almost every position. Fuck this so much...

I messed mine up too, but I know what I did, so that helps. I'm hoping it passes in the next day or so. Takes longer as I get older which is not cute or fun.

Had another thought: sometimes my shoulder aches more the day or two AFTER some stressful thing I did. I are not a doktor but wonder if the initial swelling in the area cuts off some of the sensation, and it's when swelling starts to subside some that the pain really kicks in.

don't know what your shoulder issues are, but I highly recommend Voltaren for aches and pains, and it's one of the few things that helps my bursitis-plagued shoulders and knees (but not hips, cuz too much fatty tissue for it to be effective).

Just don't take ibuprofen with it - I believe it's more or less gooey ibuprofen, so doubling up can be hard on the kidneys.

Last night, members of Trump's secret police unleashed tear gas and pepper balls at peaceful protestors who were exercising their First Amendment rights. Here's a video of this unruly Antifa crowd trying to burn everything down /s:

Quick, give the DementedOne TWO Nobel Peace Prizes. His motto: "do as I want, or I will bomb or extort the shit out of you".

"Trump issues grave threat to major ally in menacing online post: 'Won’t be done nicely!'

https://www.rawstory.com/colombia-2674212660/?

President Donald Trump issued a grave threat to the South American nation Colombia Sunday, demanding of its president Gustavo Petro to “close up” its drug production operations, lest the “United States close them up for him, and it won’t be done nicely!”

“Petro, a low rated and very unpopular leader, with a fresh mouth toward America, better close up these killing fields immediately, or the United States will close them up for him, and it won’t be done nicely.”

"Trump also announced that all foreign aid and subsidies that benefit Colombia would be halted immediately, and labeled Petro – whose administration has enacted progressive reforms such as increasing taxes on the wealthy and combating poverty – as an “illegal drug leader,”

Update: Debbie Brockman, the WGN employee who was violently arrested by ICE goons in Chicago, has lawyered up and issued a statement.

https://peopleslawoffice.com/statement-on-behalf-of-debbie-brockman-wgn-employee-assaulted-by-federal-agents/

Also, there is video that purports to show her throwing a beverage at the ICE goon's car. Of course MAGAworld thinks this means it's OK for the ICE goons to hurl her to the ground, pull her pants down, ziptie her and drag her by the neck into their unmarked vehicle.

About the hurled beverage...Ms. Brockman doesn't mention it in her statement, just that she was walking to the bus stop and didn't assault anyone. I am willing to believe that she threw a cup at the unmarked vehicle that from her perspective had just sideswiped a car a block away from her and was accelerating aggressively in her direction, while other people screamed loudly.

So whether or not she knew these were ICE goons...I'll gladly contribute to her defense fund (if she has a GoFundMe) and throw in a generous tip for the projectile liquid container. Good for her.

Huh. No AntiFA.

The MAGA crowd seems very triggered that yesterday’s protest was historic, their comments are everywhere. In total, 22 MAGA individuals were arrested for attempting to attack peaceful protesters. Arrests were made in OH, KY, CA, SC, NC, MI, OR, FL, VA, TX, and PA.

There were incidents involving guns being drawn, vehicles driven into crowds, and other acts of aggression, but police acted quickly and removed the offenders.

Meanwhile, police departments across the country are reporting that No Kings protesters had zero arrests. Incredible job, everyone! It’s becoming impossible for Trump to sell his propaganda.

There was a definite police presence in Reno: the little generator-run cameras-on-a-big-pole, on foot, and even some mounted, which I didn't know they had.

But it was all very much a sense of keeping the peace. Didn't see any counter-protesters personally.

In Carson City, where we do the Signs on the main drag in front of the State Legislature Buildings, the police have never felt menacing.

They were really good in Portland, too (where the police are not universally beloved, iykwim). Their presence was minimal. I saw one protestor go up to a few who were standing at one of the blocked off intersections and thank them. The police said, "Hey, thanks!" back to the protestor. It was a refreshing change.

I wanted to share with you guys some feelings I had yesterday at the No Kings.

I started tearing up at one point because it really FELT like I had stepped back in time to when community was important. It reminded me of some of the BayFest, Beach to Bay, and some 5k I've attended. Everyone super nice and helpful.

Then it reminded me of 9/12 2001... my birthday, the day after 9/11. I worked at the mall, where 2/3 of the businesses were closed due to headquarters being in New York, and some in or around the Twin Towers. These VERY REAL painful thing is happening, but some are just trying to stay "normal" (going to the mall to shop). Plenty of cars drove through downtown yesterday during the protests and you kind of got the idea they were just trying to ignore the crowd and get through it.

I'm grateful for the protests, got a lady's card that they do protests weekly - my niece is real fired up about it. Protests are great and encourage everyone to attend if they can to see we aren't alone. BUT we will need to do more.
